Toronto Trailers Bicycle Steel/Stainless Steel Spokes 140MM-292mm with Cap 36 Pack

I received 36 spokes and nipples and only needed to replace 11 spokes. Of those 11, 2 of the nipples had metal protruding over the top of the nipples threads. This looked like metal from cutting the groove in the top of the nipple. Since I use a spoke to thread into the top of the nipple and guide that through the rim to connect the nipple to the spoke. I had to discard those nipples. The nipples were an off gauge, so they were more prone to stripping at higher kgf. One nipple did strip. One spoke snapped off at the base of the threads at about 15kgf, which I needed to get to 25 kgf. I have ordered inexpensive spokes thru Amazon before and have had no problem, but will stay away from these spokes and nipples in the future.

I got these for my Gt avalanche I got from Dicks. I have broken 4 of the Factory spokes so far but never one of the ones I have swapped on from this pack! Comes with replacement Nipples witch is a plus. I was told anyway if you snap a spoke you should replace the nipple as well so that's a good perk!

I have a unique old hub that was attached to a rim that I couldn't find a tire to fit. So I carefully measured to find spokes that would fit them to a newer rim. My first attempt at spoking a bicycle rim was a success!

These spokes cracked while being laced and while being trued. First time I had this issue. These are not high-quality spokes and I should’ve known better judging by the price. A waste of time and money.
