Good for Gaming on a Budget
I bought this CPU awhile ago and It’s honestly a little beast. I was quite shocked in the performance of this CPU and the inter grated onboard graphics. This CPU may only have 4 core but it’s still gets the job done in most tasks. For gaming it works very well, I was quite shocked, I could run most games above 60fps on low-medium settings which is quite surprising to say the least. This CPU-GPU changes the game really, makes gaming on a budget more affordable for most people.I would recommend this if your gaming on a bigger and don’t wont to fork out loads of money on GPU right at the start of building your system. It also allows you to throw into your system once you get the money to do so. Overall recommend.

Bloomin hell this is impressive for its price....
Got this for my husband. Decided he wanted a descent little gaming setup, but as he doesn’t play the more up to date games we thought this would do for now given the Vega graphics claims.WOW am I impressed. Speedy cpu and the on board Vega graphics are simply astonishing for the price. I have been an avid gamer all my life, and have always had super powerful setups. I was not expecting as much from this little gem. I put the build together with a Gigabyte B350M Gaming 3 motherboard and 8Gb of Ballistix sport 2400DDR4. We did have to work around the motherboard not having the latest BIOS so it would not boot this recent CPU. Once past that and a BIOS flash later we fired up hubbys new build and ran up Left4Dead 2, our goto game for some light hearted teamwork. At high settings, 8xAA etc it was super smooth. For the hell of it we then popped it up to 2560x1440, and blimey its only smooth and playable! Ok the odd stagger in the largest of hordes, but I am blown away. The price makes this chip an absolute bargian. Quad cores with 8threads and pretty descent gaming capability makes it very competitive.Initially I had planned an i7-7700K, but hubby asked if AMD was still in the game, so we went this way, saving over £50 in the process.I give this little rocket five stars all day long.

Fiddly install of type 2 cpu fan
This AMD processor is one of the best I have ever come across but they are extremely fiddly to fit mostly due to the fan the CPU's themselves going in seconds and a very easy but the Spire coolers that come with it wow very quiet and efficient are large and bulky and the AMD logo can cover a ram slots on matx motherboard so one RAM slot can be unusable so you have to put the CPU fan in upside down which is a little tricky also on the motherboard I had as this is a type 2 fan not to type 1 you have to remove the clip on parts and make sure to keep the backplate this makes it somewhat Tricky and requires some dexterity on the positive note having tried this processor it is blisteringly fast plays everything that I have thrown at it so far on full 1080p HD on a 24 inch monitor runs flight simulator I have tried YouTube on full HD looks real this processor doesn't miss a beat it's good for games good for everyday use it's cheap reliable and it's AMD so you can't go wrong

Amazing little APU
My first build in 10 years with this CPU. Had read many good reviews about the gaming capability without the need for a dedicated gpu and a I don't game but my son plays Minecraft and fortnite so this was more than enough. Was easy to install and worked without issue out of the box and stays nice and cool with my noctua air cooler. The power was light years away from my old system and it encoded video really quickly which and it serves everything I need in a mid range system.

Windows 10 Drivers only for hardware acceleration (normal operation) - not for certain dektops on Linux OS
The new Raven Ridge APU's like this and the R3 2200G drivers exist only for Windows 10 from AMD as at March 2018.Of the few Linux desktop environments only the lighter/nimble ones worked as neither AMD nor the open-source community have a driver out yet for these new APU's.Mate (Gnome 2) and Xfce on Mint 18.3 worked but not KDE nor Cinnamon (Gnome 3).LXDE (lightweight X11 Desktop Environment) on Debian also worked.Fedora 27 on kernel 4.13 worked until I upgraded it to the latest kernel 4.15.9.AMD drivers are only available for MS Windows 10 presently and AMD Support say there are no plans for additional drivers and hope the open-source community develops one.Unless it is a lightweight desktop it cannot use hardware acceleration (without another GPU card or Win 10). As a result software rendering uses the CPU not the GPU and often will default to a working low resolution of 640 x 480 instead of say 2560 x 1080 as on the lightweight desktops some of which I mentioned above. One distro I tried was Raspian +86 for PC's where it worked on the live CD but screen failed to deliver on Install (weird).- Will update if this changes or if you find open-source drivers become available. please feel free to comment.Otherwise it is a very good APU with fast responses and it zips along when installing Operating Systems for example and other CPU intensive tasks. Some of the new versions of lighter desktops have improved a great deal recently - such as Xfce which you should try.

Great budget CPU
For the price what more could you want? Paired with the correct memory (do check your motherboards recomended memory list - I did not and ended up trying to troublshoot some instability issues that were caused by some Corsair Vengance LPX memory that Asrock specifically stated would not work with the 2400G on their website!) the CPU works flawlessly and is blazing fast for everyday tasks and some light esports gaming.

Good integrated graphics for budget gaming (EA games rather than triple AAA)
Arrived quickly, well packaged, easy to install, AMD have just updated drivers so if you buy dont forget to go to their website to install latest driver, son plays online gaming and performs good for 1080p gaming. I have done budget build list and included this product on Amazon which you can search for - AMD Budget build by Cal-M - or if you would like to see a video on three Ryzen builds just look me up on You-tube "Cal-M complete pc budget builds 2019" in search and you will see the logo. Very pleased with this product performance for price, this has got to be the best integrated graphics on a chip at the moment, includes its own cooler which does a great job too, well made well done AMD.
