AnkerMake M5C All Metal Hotend Set

I really like my AnkerMake M5C, and this hotend assembly is good quality for a fair price, so I keep a couple of spares around for when i get the inevitable clog. (Also for when my shaky hands break one of the wires while I'm trying to clear a piece of broken filament out of the extruder.) As with any replacement hot end, do NOT assume it is assembled properly from the factory. (NO manufacturer provides properly assembled hot ends.) Watch the video on AnkerMake's web site and follow ALL the steps to ensure that it is assembled and installed properly. Note especially that the hot end is NOT attached to the heat sink when you receive it - that's what those two M2 screws are for - so don't just pop the whole thing in place and start trying to print or you'll end up with a big mess to clean up. Seriously, follow all the steps in the video. My biggest recommendation is to keep at least one spare hot end assembly handy. If you need a new hot end now, order two so you can install one and keep one as a spare.

I absolutely love how easy it is to take the M5C apart to replace specific parts. This specific part was completely jammed (my fault) and being able to replace the one part that’s broken instead of needing to buy a whole new extruder is how things should be. Look on their website for instructions and follow them closely. Make sure you keep track of screws coming out as well and you’ll have a brand new hot end in less than an hour.

I somehow got bad enough of a back up for my direct drive to be skipping and extruded pla between the heater and hot end and it created a permanent reoccurring clog, luckily this fixed it, I really like this printer design totally different from the ender that I had and it was easy to just remove head and do all the work and plug it all into the head unit itself, anyway swapped it out and clean prints once again

This is a great quality hotend for a relatively reasonable price. I clogged my stock hotend so bad I couldn't fix it even after disassembly. It's fairly easy to replace the hotend and get up and running again, anker has good guides on how to do this on their website. This is an official Anker product and not a knock off.

I ordered this to replace a damaged hotend on my M5C. The hotend arrived with the silicone cover in place so I assumed it was ready to install on my printer. I did not see the two tiny screws tucked behind the hot end in the packaging until I had fully installed it and started printing. It turned out that the heating block was not screwed in and my new hot end leaked filament and got ruined immediately; I had to order another replacement. There should be instructions in the package to remove the silicone cover and install the screws before installing it on your printer.

Bought this be able to use for the more abrasive filaments.

Product came with out bolts to secure hit end to heat sink.

My last two hot ends have split near the nozzle. All of my older ones have never done that.
