Great quality, great looking, overpriced
I was really torn about buying this because of the price. During Black Friday week it's been half the price of my brand new Fire HD 10. Half the price. Of the actual tablet. However, due in part I suspect to the tablet only being launched last month, I wasn't happy with any of the limited third party offerings. The only custom made one appeared to have a very visible, thick, clear plastic case around the outside. The more generic ones rely on various arrangements of elastic and velcro-closing sleeves. Ugly. I know the Fire HD 10 isn't a premium tablet, but I still think it's a very good looking one and it would've annoyed me literally daily that I'd had to make it look rubbish in order to protect it.So I took out my credit card (again) and took the plunge. And am I happy with it? Yes. The hard case that covers the back and edges is very well fitted, very thin and I don't notice it at all during use. It's obviously got cutaways for buttons, sockets and rear camera, but also above the speaker ports so that sound isn't muffled or impeded. The rest of the case seems fine too. I quite like the finish on the outside, although my daughter disagrees. It has a magnetic closure that wakes the tablet when you open it. And the magnetism also gets involved when you have the cover fully open - it sticks to the rear of the case so you don't have the cover flapping around loose while you use it.The stand is adequate. Does its job on a desk at home although I'd be a bit nervous about how it might fare on a train, particularly in the UK. Should stress that I've not had the opportunity to test on a moving surface yet though.Would I trust it to protect against drops? Probably not. It's almost certainly better than no case, but my instinct would be that one of the aforementioned ugly, poor fitting, velcro close sleeves would provide a bit more cushioning. If drop protection is a major consideration for you, maybe look elsewhere.Worth adding that there's no screen protector etc included. I hadn't expected one and there's no indication anywhere in the description that you will get one, but thought it worth putting in black and white!So... Am I still slightly bitter about spending 40 quid to protect an (at time of purchase) 85 quid tablet? Yes. Yes I am. Would I still recommend this ahead of an ugly, ill fitting third party case at less than half the price? Yes I would. Drop protection is limited and I worry about the stand on a moving train, but neither of those are real worries for me, so it's a 5 star product - but I do hope the pricing comes down dramatically!

Great product
This product fits perfectly and protects the kindle well. Well worth the money. The magnet works well and is just the right strength

Pricey
It's a good cover and fits perfectly, but expensive for what it is.

Functional case
Fits very well with magnetic closure which closes securely. Stand can be used in both portrait and landscape view. Little expensive compared with others but not many alternatives available for use in portrait view.

Bought the Lilac cover
Nice hard case and I love the colour, easier to find rather than a black or white one. Love how it stand well but still haven't got the knack of the bendy bit, don't want to force it incase I break it.All in all a nice cover for my tablet.

not happy and returned for refund
very expensive for what it is, looks good when on the tablet and colour matches tablet but the stand is very poor and flimsy. my wife uses the tablet for reading in bed and due to illness is unable to hold the weight of the tablet and case, so she places the stand on the bedclothes over her legs and it falls over unlike the case on her fire 8"tablet so returned for refund and will wait for a decent after-market case when available

Good protection, great standup
The fit is great, the stand is just right, not too bulky, but it does add to the weight

Sturdy and secure
This cover was made for the Amazon fire and clicked right on without issue. It has a very snug fit, and the cover is very sturdy. Beautiful lilac colour. The bend side wad a bit hard to bend at first, which I like as it's less likely to get floppy over time. And the magnetic latch is perfect. I wish every tablet could have such a well made cover for it!
