Q: How many packages? 4?12?

Twelve packs in a box; 4 boxes in the order. But, the first time I ordered I only received 1 box. Amazon took care of it but it took a chat session and a period of time for the person to talk to a supervisor to make it happen.

Q: I only got 12 of the only got 48 packs of chips ahoy i ordered today. what should i do? please advise. thanks

Q: what are the dimensions of each individual cookie package.? Can I put it in flat rate postage box as a goody bag for zoom shower.

The whole box is 11 x 5.75 x 3. Each individual package is 5 x 2.5 x .75. There are different sized flat rate postage boxes so you could surely find one that would fit. However, these cookies come often broken when they're in a big box with several boxes of cookies. I'd think that putting individual cookie packages in a flat rate box would make it more likely they break. Breakage doesn't bother me but it might be an issue for a gift.
