Purchased this because of the podcast, Childhood Collective. It came highly recommended for parents of kids with adhd. The first night we used it, my child fell asleep so fast. Usually they’re up multiple times because they can’t fall asleep. Then we went on vacation and my child asked to bring it with us. We used it and my younger child ended up using it too since they shared a room. It worked for them as well! It’s pure magic if you have an adhd kiddo or just a kid who struggles falling asleep. Definitely worth every penny! So much so that I got a second one for my younger kid. 🐢 😴

This is one of my favourite purchases from Amazon for my son. He is 9 and was having a hard time falling asleep this summer. I used meditation on my phone to help him calm down from the day and he loved it so I searched for a meditation machine that he could use on his own at night. We have used it every night since we ordered it a few months ago! The details: - The meditation machine is a fantastic tool for mindfulness and relaxation. - It has a user-friendly interface so my son can easily navigate through the various meditation programs and sounds. - You simply hold down the button for the next session. - The built-in speakers delivers high-quality audio, creating an immersive experience that helps drown out distractions. - There are 9 different meditation session, each ranging from 4-20 minutes long each. - He likes doing one guided meditation and then letting the music play while he sleeps. - There is an auto shut off after 45 minutes of run time. - I like the variety of options, from guided meditations to ambient sounds. - No experience required. Trust me, you will be falling asleep in no time! It even helps me fall asleep! - The adjustable volume is convenient and the option to use your headphones is great for travel. - Very compact design which is ideal if you want to bring it with you anywhere. - It hold a charge for a long time! I was worried about it needing to be charged daily but I have had it for a few months and use it nightly and only needed to charge it twice so far! - Design-wise, the machine is sleek and discreet so it fits nicely on the bedside table. - My only dislike is that there is no backlight option so you can’t see what button you are pressing in the dark at night if you want to change to another session or sounds. Maybe this will be in an upgraded model someday, fingers crossed! Overall, this meditation machine has been a huge part of my son’s nighttime routine and he really likes it. He even brought it to his grandparents house when he slept over. It’s perfect for anyone looking relax during the day or at bedtime. And helps with kids unwinding from the day. This is exactly what I was looking for! Instead of using my phone I can use this device for guided meditations to go to sleep! Great look and is small enough to sit in the headboard.

Okay, I admit I initially balked at the price. It seemed like more than I'd want to spend for basically a sound machine. We were having so many meltdowns and "big feelings" moments that we could not diffuse, no matter what strategy we tried, and a friend recommended the Zenimal. In a moment of desperation, I stopped caring that it was expensive because I was willing to trying anything. Well, guess what. It's worth it. It works. I'd pay the price for it again and again and again. My little one actually enjoys the mindfulness activities and has commented, "This music makes me feel sleepy." Favorite settings are Sleep, Relaxation, and Restoration. It's worked great for bedtime. We're incorporating it into more situations, like moments of frustration in the day to practice diffusing the big feelings using the mindfulness. Also, it's adorable and perfectly sized for kids. The silicone cover is very wise because it's been tossed in frustration and has also accidentally fallen out of bed because LO falls asleep cuddling it. It still works great. Thanks, Zenimal!
