The design of this 10W Qi charging pad is well thought out!Please keep the following point in mind when you read the rest of my critiques -- this Qi wireless charging pad is capable of 10W (when paired with a Quick Charge 3.0 capable USB AC power adapter). The charging process can cause both your phone and the charging pad to heat up.First, let's look at the surface of this triangular unit on which you will place your phone to wirelessly charge its battery. There are these three rubberized protrusions. What is so good about them? Their rubberized surface is the actual surface that your phone will rest on. These tacky surface help prevent your phone from accidentally slide off the charging surface. Additionally, their slight elevation of your phone off the rest of the top surface enable air to flow through the underside of your phone, allowing it to keep your phone cool! Ingenious!This principle is repeated when you flip this charging pad over. At each corner of its triangular shape is a rubberized circular protrusion. The three of them follow a stable non-skip platform for charging your phone. Additionally, their slight elevation enable air to flow underneath this charging pad to cool it off, too!This is a good value.Too bad seller no longer offer this item for sale! :-(

Someone borrowed my phone's charging cord and when I finally got the cord back, it no longer fit properly. I didn't have a lot of options. I didn't want to take the phone to be serviced and I'm not ready to get a new one yet. I'm glad I gave it a chance.

Excellent product. Light weight, portable and works with case on phone. Silicone pads keep phone in place.

Bought this as an additional wireless charger in a household that already has a couple of others including one other fast charger. It was mainly intended to be used for a Galaxy S8+. While this one works, I’ve relegated it to a drawer in case someone comes over that needs a wireless charge for a non-quick-charge device such as an Iphone or when i want a charge using my laptop.I have two main complaints.First, it’s loud. How can a passive device be loud? This one has a very audible “click-click-click” noise coming from the charger when it’s under load. It’s loud enough that i was able to get a very clear recording of it using my phone’s memo recording app while it was on the charger. The noise is louder when it’s quick charging, but it’s still audible even on non-quick-charge devices. I’ve read that it’s likely “normal” and part of the way wireless charging works, but given that I have other wireless chargers that don’t make the noise at all, I have to knock at least one star off.More importantly, this one gets HOT. I went to pick up my phone the other day after it had been charging for a while, and i literally dropped the phone from the surprise. Maybe it was from a combination of having the phone slightly off center on the charger and the case my phone is in, but i thought this thing was supposed to have an anti heat shutoff. If it does, it must have a pretty high tolerance for heat before kicking in. Regardless, it made me extremely nervous as to hot it was. I’m talking hot enough that I couldn’t touch the charger hot here. That’s worth another two stars off the rating.Am I going to send it back? No, probably not. It doesn’t get hot when not quick charging, nor does it get hot when it’s charging through a USB connection on my laptop. So I’ll probably just keep it as a spare. But I was wouldn’t recommend it considering the numerous other options out there.
