The bright green colour shows it is a high quality grade. It has that lovely nutty, earthy taste both as matcha tea made with hot water or mixed with coffee and milk as a matcha latte. It dissolves quickly and completely when whisked compared to the matcha I bought that is twice its price. The more expensive matcha is a bit hard on the stomach, whereas this one didn't have that issue. The price per gram is very good compared to other brands, but I haven't tried those so can't compare quality. In summary, a great matcha at a great price. My daughter and I enjoy drinking matcha tea and matcha lattes. We have a wee set in the kitchen (bamboo try, bamboo spoons, little sieve, matcha whisk and bowl set, and a glass matcha bowl with pouring spout). It's an enjoyable ritual making matcha tea and seeing the beautiful green frothy mixture. I even bought a matcha bowl and whisk for work so I can enjoy starting everyday with a taste of the orient.

I initially bought this tea for making a cheesecake (which turned out great). However, having lots left over, I occasionally make myself a green tea in the evening to relax. If you don't have a matcha whisk, like myself, I recommend preparing it like you'd make a cup of Ovaltine : -Put a small teaspoon (not heaped, matcha is very strong) of tea in your mug -Add a small amount of hot water ~1-2 tbsp and whisk together until you get a homogenous paste -Top up your mug with hot water and mix the paste in until the whole drink is the same green colour You should have a deposit at the bottom of your mug after you've finished drinking; this is normal as the powder doesn't dissolve in water. All in all, this is a nice tea, whether you just want to drink it, or for baking purposes.

I was surprised how good this matcha is for the price. Smooth taste, mixes well, and works perfectly for lattes. Gives a clean energy boost without jitters. You get a big amount for a really cheap price, so it’s great value. I definitely recommend it.

I’m disappointed with this matcha. It was never truly high quality before, but at least it had a nicer color and a more distinct, smoother taste. The new version, however, is much worse. The company advertises it as ceremonial grade, but the color is dull brownish-green and the flavor is flat, more like black tea than real matcha. This is not what I would expect from a product marketed as ceremonial. Sadly, instead of improving, the quality has gone downhill.

I’m new to Matcha green teas. I usually drink coffee and whilst I do enjoy coffee. I felt it was time to try an alternative with health benefits too. Been using it for more than a week now and I have noticed a lot more natural energy throughout the day, without the caffeine crash from coffee. It took a little time to get used to the flavour, which is hard to describe, but is pleasant and with a little honey added it’s a great drink in a morning.

Sales literature suggests this is from Japan. The packaging states Produce of China!

have brought other matcha from amazon which were WAYYYY more expensive but this one is by far the best for the value. It smells expensive and extremely authentic! It taste fresh and does not taste grassy at all ! I will be repurchasing this again! 10/10.
