This glass tube is very well made with thick heat resistant glass. The neoprene ring keeps the base securely in the pyramid heater. Just remove one panel on the side of the heater, insert the top of the tube, then gently lower the bottom of the tube with the neoprene ring until seated into the control unit for the heater. Simple!

Being large and easily broken, I had worries about receiving one via shipping rather than picking one up in a store - not a problem -The tube is packaged in a double box arrangement with plenty of padding to survive any reasonable shipping (anything, no matter how well packed can get broken in shipping - but this is well packed)The tube ships with the rubber gasket for the bottom and looks like the original tube - no imperfections and ready to be installed.

The media could not be loaded.  This glass tube arrived in perfect condition. I am building a small rocket stove for the backyard and wanted to find a way to contain the flames while radiating heat. This glass tube is perfect! I'll have my version of the glass tube outdoor heaters I love to sit next to when eating outside at restaurants. Highly recommend this if you need to replace a tube, or it you are building your own DIY outdoor heater.
