We’ve written this book for the Jobs-to-be-Done student and practitioner who has a basic grasp of JTBD concepts (Forces Diagram, JTBD Timeline, Interview Process) and wants to strengthen their technique and continue to get better results out of their application of Jobs-to-be-Done. How to Use This Book The only person who knows what you’ll hire this book for is you (but we have our theories). Consider: Cramming it to pull out anything you haven’t seen before. Flipping through it a few minutes before you conduct an interview to review the basics. Using it to think through who to interview when starting a project. Handing it to a colleague to quickly bring them up-to-speed on JTBD so they can be your interview partner. Not Quite Ready? There are lots of resources available to help you get caught up on the Jobs-to-be-Done basics. Visit JobstobeDone.org and think about: Listening to the JTBD Radio podcast (especially the sample interviews). Taking the Online JTBD Course and learning on your own time. Attending a Switch Workshop and getting an immersive one-day crash course in Jobs-to-be-Done. Review: Does not mention JTBD - Does not explain, or even mention, Jobs to be done framework at all. No idea why they’re selling this as a JTBD book. It’s a poorly conceived guide to interviewing people with “helpful” tips such as “make sure you’re interviewing someone who has actually bought the product” Review: THIS ISN'T REALLY A BOOK. READ BEFORE YOU BUY - This hardly qualifies as a book. Its only 66 pages long. It looks like they exported some powerpoint slides and printed them with a cover. Its my own fault. I bought it too quickly and didn't read the page length, but I honestly didn't imaging that £15 would equate to this. I'm not sure how the price can be justified. I was interested in getting more info on the interview technique but there is more in Jim Kalbachs book including the content from this book. Both Jobs To Be Done by Ulwich and When Coffee and Kale compete are free online as downloads - so don't buy those either.

How to ruin your reputation with a poorly conceived book.
This is a travesty to call it a book. I bought the book because Clayton Christiansen spoke so highly of one of the authors. I thought perhaps the book would be worth reading. I would be ashamed to put my name to this inadequate piece of work, and at £15 it’s a rip off for what you get. If I can return this to Amazon I will. Will ruin your reputation putting your name to this Mr Moeston.

Überteuert und wenig Mehrwert.
Mit 22 EUR für rund 6 A4 Seiten an Text die auf 66 Seiten in größer Schriftgröße verteilt wurden bietet das Buch eher wenig Mehrwert.

I laughed at the page count... then I actually sat down to use it
Gotta say I love the book. Initially though, I was pissed. I love what the JTBD guys are doing, but I thought this book was too short and too expensive; however, after buying it and using it, I couldn't have been more wrong. I really like what the authors are doing here. When my co-founder and I were starting a new project, we used this as a reference manual, earmarking and flipping constantly between pages. He's not as well versed in JTBD, and this served as a great intro, as well as something I was easily able to reference while jumping between whiteboard sessions. Obviously the jobs-to-be-done approach is mind-blowing when it starts to click, but it's always a magical moment when you can actually see the lightbulbs going off in someone's head. This book helped us work through a lot of our early assumptions, especially having the ability to quickly jump between the forces diagram and the timeline (they look simple.. but there's a lot in there!! Pay close attention to finding Event #2). I doubt our sessions would have been nearly as effective had we not had this handbook. Initially, I hated that there was no Kindle version available (this is literally the first physical book I've bought in over 6 years!!!) but after getting the chance to use it recently, I wish more authors would follow this trend: Quick read, very targeted, very exacting advice that's easily applied and easily shareable. Five stars. "Don't judge a book by it's page count" ... (which is the little known follow up to the more common "Don't judge a book by it's cover") Note: I may have made that last part up :) Also, the authors also host a podcast on http://jobstobedone.org/ That's definitely worth the listens

Petit mais costaud
Petit livret qui contient de nombreuses informations. A utiliser de pair avec les livres du Professeur Clayton Christensen de la Harvard Business School.

Very poor, not recommended
It has been a big deception. Poor content, very short on extension and very poorly printed. What a bad buy
