It works very well, no complaints. The remote is a very welcome upgrade. Keep the remote in view when installing, or keep a manual cutoff switch in the loop and keep it off during installation: I kept telling my girlfriend not to push the remote's on-button while I was installing only to discover she was accidentally sitting on it lol, but otherwise it remains off on initial power connection until you turn it on. Everything just works - that said, the reason I bought these is because something in each of the cars kept the voltage up, so if your car has this inherent voltage problem, no voltage auto-off switch will work, so if that's also your use-case, you'll always want to use the remote to turn off the car rather than wait for the device to do so, although it does appear to correctly shutoff when the voltage drops: so even if you do forget, the device will still shut off long before the battery is fully drained, so it'll still turn on! Win-win. Also, unrelated to the device's quality, a really good trick is that you can install terminal connectors that screw together and-or have a screw whose point pushes a metal plate onto the post, and both provide a much sturdier connection than regular terminal connectors, and you can fit them onto this device quite easily. If the fasteners are loose on either post, the battery won't charge during use and you may lose power steering/ac/dash/etc, which is not fun, so ensure the terminal connections are secure! Bottom line is that these work phenomenally well, and the first one I bought worked so well, I bought a second one for my girlfriend's car, and they have even held up in the relentless sun. Easily worth the price.

use it for my excavator. battery drains when turned off. easy to wire up, and remote works 100 percent of the time. wish i had one years ago. way easier than disconnecting the battery.

Update February 2025: The switch has failed after 4 months of use. And it failed oddly: it constantly shows 10.9 volts, just below the 11.0 volt threshold to allow the Jeep to crank. When I remove the switch and connect the battery back to the original leads, the battery shows 12.4 volts, and when running the alternator shows 14.2 volts, so the problem is this switch. I just replaced it with a simple blade switch; no electronics to fail. Cannot recommend this anymore. [Original post in October 2024] So...the first disconnect switch received did not work straight out of the box. But I immediately sought a replacement, which Amazon delivered the next day. I installed it the same way and it works great so far. I'm using this on a secondary vehicle - an old Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee with 300K+ miles. These vehicles were notorious for having tight wiring harnesses that eventually rub and break, causing a phantom draw that discharges (and ruins) the 12V battery. With the mileage that high, I really didn't want to waste time and energy tracking down the shorted wire causing the phantom draw, and this seems like a simple solution. It is...I wish I had found this switch before I ruined a battery. I use the "OFF" feature to disconnect the battery after each drive; this does mean clock time resets each time. I always wait a few seconds (5 - 10) before cranking to allow all the systems to restart, but it works and does keep the battery usable. I have not tried the automatic shutoff feature which leaves the battery "ON" and disconnects the battery when the charge drops too low, but again, this is my back up vehicle. I don't care if the clock resets each time. The black tape on the negative terminal isn't part of the permanent setup. That was just added during installation to prevent shorting/sparking the terminal while tightening the bolts.

This device works exactly as advertised, easy to install and the range of the wireless fob is more than 10 feet. I have used it every day since Aug 3, 2024 without a single problem. The support from IMAYCC is unbelievable. I had my car and keys stolen and the police managed to get it back in one day, but no keys or the wireless fob to control the switch. I contacted IMAYCC and asked to purchase a new one since I only had one left. To my surprise IMAYCC sent me a new fob in a little box all the way from China and at no cost to me. They also sent me a video showing how to activate the new fob. Absolutely AMAISING service. Thank you IMAYCC, I will be buying more products from your company.

Why does everyone not have one of these? Easy install at the battery. Fob added to the keychain. This device isolates the battery preventing any drain and preventing unauthorized startup. Should be used by all the folks that have these car models that are getting stolen. Now, when you isolate the battery everything stops working, like your remote door unlocker, the car radio, etc. Just be warned about that. I have a car that needs juice to the clock, so the clock is no longer set right. But that is a small price to pay. Excellent product.

It worked great at first then eventually I had to disconnect it because it started to fail. It didn’t even last a year.

Habe es in einem Auto verbaut welches nur noch selten und wenig bewegt wird. Durch die langen Standzeiten war hier oft die Batterie leer und tiefenentladen und somit dementsprechend schnell kaputt. Dieses Problem ist mit diesem Teil Geschichte. Habe die KFZ Batterie erneuert und direkt diesen Wächter montiert. Sollte sich jetzt der Ladestand der Batterie einem niedrigen zustand nähern trennt dieser Wächter die Kabelverbindung sodass kein weiterer Strom entnommen werden kann und noch genug Energie in der Batterie verbleibt und das Fahrzeug problemlos zu starten. Einbau ist sehr einfach. Jeder der schon einmal eine Autobatterie ausgetauscht hat wird das hinbekommen. Die beiden Fernbedienungen waren ohne weiteres zutun verbunden und funktionsbereit. Sollte das mal nicht der fall sein steht aber auch in der beiliegenden Anleitung wie man den Wächter und die Fernbedienungen neu verbindet. Auf den LED's kann man den aktuellen Status ablesen ob es gerade im Schutzmodus oder im Aktivmodus ist. Der füllstand der Batterie wird grob über 3 weitere LED wiedergegeben. Sollte der Wächter im Schutzmodus sein kann man einfach mit einem Druck auf "ON" wieder alles anschalten. Dies geht sowohl am Wächter selber aber natürlich auch bequem über eine der Fernbedienungen. Er kann auch eingesetzt werden als zusätzlicher Diebstahlschutz indem man einfach nach dem abstellen des Fahrzeugs per Fernbedienung den Strom vom Auto trennt. Zu beachten sei hier dann , dass man Uhren und ggf. Radios neu einstellen muss wenn der Strom unterbrochen wurde. Klasse Teil. werde ich noch häufiger bei verschiedenen Fahrzeugen einsetzen.

This is a great product which has worked perfectly for over a year since I bought it. I have an old second car that is used infrequently. I often used to find it would not start because its battery was flat so I had to recharge it. It was an annoying chore to disconnect the battery manually and reconnect it again to avoid that problem. With the battery disconnector now I just press a button on the remote (2 remotes are supplied) to connect and disconnect the battery. Since then I have not had any issues.

Easy fit. Works perfectly had for 4 months on my van.
