I bought the Cyber Acoustics CA-2890PRO, and after several hours of testing it with Zoom, ChatGPT Voice, Perplexity, YouTube, phone calls, and music playback, I'm honestly amazed at what you get for around $40. The sound quality is outstanding. It's much louder than I expected, with clear, rich audio that completely replaced my monitor speakers. I mainly listen to podcasts, YouTube, and music, and I'm genuinely enjoying listening to music on this speaker. It has more than enough volume for my home office, and the sound is clean and surprisingly full. The microphone is equally impressive. During my testing, I was able to walk about 8 feet away and continue speaking in a normal voice. It still picked me up clearly, even with a fan running in the room. Voice conversations felt natural, and I had no problems holding two-way conversations during Zoom meetings, phone calls, or while using ChatGPT Voice and Perplexity. In fact, I prefer it there because it keeps my desk looking clean while still projecting excellent sound. Setup was truly plug-and-play, and using the USB-C connection gives it plenty of power. This is one of those rare products that makes you wonder why you'd spend two or three times as much on something else. When comparing with a true professional conference speaker, this speaker plays stereo output with just a hint of bass, which makes it sound superior to a standard conference speaker. It’s easy to use, but be sure to read the included manual to learn the features. For the overall value of this speaker, I’d certainly buy it again. I bought this so I’d have a decent speakerphone setup when I work remotely. I liked it enough that I also bring it to work and use it there too.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good speakerphone for the price

Solid speaker + mic combo for the price. The speaker quality is nothing to write home about, it does the job. Not great at all for listening to music if you are used to good speakers/headphones, but if you just need something to play games and watch videos with, this does the job in a very compact format. Where it shines is as a speakerphone. I use this for taking Zoom calls all day long when WFH, and it seems tuned very well for voice. Music may not sound great, but voices sound perfect, and the mic quality is so good that most people assume I'm using our $80 Poly headsets, not a $40 speakerbar sitting under my monitor. The clip for the stand requires a fairly bulky bezel on your monitor, or else it covers up your screen. No monitor that I have at home has a bulky enough bezel, but the speaker works just fine sitting on it's stand. My pie-in-the-sky wish is it came with some sort of VESA mount (or had an option for one, perhaps a plate with an extending bracket that goes between a VESA arm and the monitor?). If something like that was in place, I could recommend this to our executive suite, as the quality of this is a lot better than the built-in webcam mic and laptop speakers that they use now. Power boost does work over USB-A, at least in my case. I have this hooked into a powered USB hub, which I believe provides more power than a standard USB-A port, which may be why it works for me. All in all, I would rather use this for video-conferencing than the HyperX Cloud or the Poly headphones I was using before, and this is about half the price to boot. But for games and jamming out to music, this is a little too small to give a good dynamic range.
