Worked great
Worked great. I’ve never made candles before and had no issue I didn’t cause myself lol. I read the reviews and saw that one lady was using a giant needle to place the wicks so I got an upholstery needle that looked the same. I didn’t have any leaking. I only had little bubbles on the sides cause I was worried that they would stick so I used a little oil. I won’t be using the oil next time as I didn’t feel I needed it. I had a bit of tunneling as they cooled so I ended up topping them off and then placing the whole thing in the water I’d used to melt the cheap tall candles I’d bought for the colored wax. Next morning that came out without too much struggle, just a bit of stretching the mold so that all side came off and squeezing my fingers in and gentle pulling. I had no tunneling after that. I plan to do it again with the rest of the remaining wax. I used toothpicks to keep the wicks centered. The bits came out rough but probably user error and easily fixed with match over the trash can. Great value for the money considering each candle that size is usually $3-5+ each. The size was prefect, they were only maybe 1/2 in shorter than the ones I’d get at the store. It did leave little lines in the sides but no ones gonna notice except me and I only noticed when I put them next to the ones I’d had from the store. I put it in the top rack of my dishwasher so hopefully it survived. I suspect itl be stained, but that’s not gonna effect its function. 100% satisfied, I’ll update if it didn’t survive the dish washer.

High-quality mold for makers who know their cooling and release!
I’m baffled by some of the negative reviews here! If you are an experienced maker, this mold is actually fantastic because the silicone is softer and more pliable than most. It’s also incredibly easy to prep: just hold the mold up to a light to see your alignment, use a BBQ skewer to poke all the way through, and move it around a bit to create the perfect wick channel. The Cooling Process (Crucial for success): • The Insulation Method: No matter what type of wax you use, you MUST surround the mold with an old towel to slow the cooling process. This is a standard requirement for every kind of candle. • The "No Freezer" Rule: NEVER put a mold in the freezer while it is cooling. Your taper will crack every single time. • Release Tip: Once the candle has reached room temperature naturally with the towel off, you can then pop this specific mold in the freezer. Because this silicone is softer, it can be persistent and needs that quick cold snap to help with the final release. • Paraffin Timing: If you’re using paraffin, expect a full 24-hour wait. Do not use the freezer at all for paraffin candles. Tips for Removal: • Spray: I recommend a mold release spray for any mold of this type. Since this one is so bendable, the spray makes it easy to loosen the candle from the walls. • Wick Length: Leave plenty of extra wick to grab. You can gently wiggle it back and forth while moving the mold away from the candle to pull it out by hand.

Non easy removal.
Well I thought it was a well thought out decision to order this mold, after trying a couple other molds that didn't work. Well we got the wax in there pretty easy great or so we thought. Waited for what seemed like forever.... cooled the mold off in the cold.... hoping for the best... well after 1 broken candle... then a torn wick...and another broken candle....the wax is still in the mold and now its in the trash. There is NO easy way to remove these candles. And sorry but for the people that say there is...maybe they know magic cause I'm just your average ordinary person and I cannot make this mold work.

Sturdy, easy to use mold
After purchasing a wicking needle and cotton wick, I was able to successfully make 6" candles. They are amazing! The mold makes it easy. After putting in the wicks, I pour in my wax. After it is cooled, you just give the mold a gentle squeeze and gently pry out the candle. They come out perfect every time. No need for a non-stick spray. I've make over 100 candles so far, and the mold is holding up well.
