Love these, pairing and setting up is a breeze.Lovely warm to 'every colour ever' adjustments.Doesn't flicker or have a weird headache giving light.If you turn off the power to it and on (i.e., a light switch) .. it will instantly come on @ the last setting (like a normal lightbulb 💡)Super Bright amd can be dimmed really low.Works perfectly with Google Home, can change any light in the house with voice commands with Phone, tablet and smartwatch with no delays or lag… Instant.Setting single 'keyword' commands with Google Home to set any mood, or time based setting is fab.So… Is a smartlight needed? No, not really… But when you have one, it's a game changer.

These bulbs last .they're easy to connect up. they function great.no flickering great colours excellent value for money.just follow instructions for connecting to your WiFi .they do seem to connect much easier with matter.worth that bit extra glad I updated them now as I don't have to reboot them if I loose signal they do it automatically sticking with the tapo brand now.

I paired it with Alexa and used it on an IKEA HEKTAR floor lamp. The connection with the Tapo app was straightforward, but setting it up with Alexa was a bit more challenging. To simplify, first enable Tapo in Alexa’s Skills and Games, which process smoother.Pros:1. Excellent luminous efficiency, offering more lumens per watt, than many competitors, making it stand out in the market.2. Matter certified, meaning no hub is required, and it works seamlessly with other smart home ecosystems like Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings.3. Offers 16 million colors with smooth brightness control ranging from 1% to 100%.4. Better energy efficiency rating (Class E) compared to many others rated Class F or Class G.5. Wider colour temperature ranges from 2500K to 6500K, while others start at 2700K, making it a great choice for those who prefer warmer light. (Only Philips Hue offers the warmest 2000K to 6500K, but it’s at least five times more expensive.)6. Works well with Apple Home. Changes colour/brightness fast and has a massive range of colours. Excellent product.

As someone new to smart bulbs, I found the Tapo straightforward to set up—no hub needed, just connected to Wi-Fi. The colours are fun, and the away mode gives peace of mind when I’m out. Voice control works well with Google Assistant. Solid purchase!

Whether you are pairing using matter or the tapo app it is extremely easy. Once connected I have not had to change anything, it is quick and responsive to commands through google home (which I use to control the light via notification control centre on my phone), also works seamlessly with voice assistants like Google assistant. The tapo app has some pretty cool functionality too but works perfectly out the box!

Simple to connect and link to Alexa but that’s where the positives end. Having given the bulb 3 months of a go and every chance to work properly I have given up on it. Every 2 weeks or so…I have to remove the device from the Alexa app as it fails to find the bulb when prompted and reconnect as a new device every time. The End.

Excellent bulb and I found it so easy to connect to Alexa. I downloaded the app and straight away it downloaded a firmware up date. Once paired with the app, Alexa paired it easily. From the bulb being plugged in to using Alexa took me less than 5 minutes. Highly recommended.
