Lovely snack. I only but these when on offer so great price. The 200g size is very portable. Soft but not sloopy, not dry.

Simply delicious

First time I tried them after my previous prune buy had risen dramatically in price.

These prunes are decent, with a typical texture and flavour and they keep things moving. They're convenient for snacking or cooking, but nothing stands out about them compared to other brands. Some of my pack were overly dry, which is OK if you have the time as they rehydrate fine in some warm water, a bit annoying at breakfast though. The bottom line is If you need basic dried prunes, these will do the jobbie.

Over the years I have had terrible toilet problems due to prescribed pain medication. I first tried fibre supplements, not effective for me. I tried high fibre diets, worked , but became monotonous. I tried prunes purely for an healthy sweet hit. Great for the sweet hit. I found using prunes for a sweet hit had side effects, but positive side effects. My toilet problems completely ended. Just eating 3-4 prunes a day keep me regular. These particular prunes are the juiciest good dried prunes I'd eaten. They are delicious, I get a great sweet hit, the texture of these prunes are sublime & my tummy problems are sorted. It's great value for money, I wished Amazon did this particular buy on subscription. I definitely recommend this product. Be it for a sweet hit or to boost your Fibre intake.....

On the back of trying some of the, "by Amazon" raisins which were excellent, I tried a couple of these prunes. Unfortunately I noticed my mouth becoming sore and recognised that the product must contain Potassium Sorbate, as any product containing this additive causes my mouth to get sore. This was confirmed by looking at the packet.Potassium Sorbate is a food preservative that is used to inhibit moulds and yeasts in many foods and I believe is mostly used in budget products. It is Generally Regarded as Safe(GRAS) however there must be some suspicion of danger with Potassium Sorbate because the concentrations are limited in some countries following studies performed in test-tubes where Potassium Sorbate caused damage to the DNA of cells.There have been many products over the years which are Generally Regarded as Safe(GRAS) and now are known causes of cancer for example Potassium Nitrate which has been used on bacon and processed meat for many years but recently has been linked with increasing bowel cancer rates yet Potassium Nitrate is still Generally Regarded as Safe(GRAS).What will a product that causes mouth soreness do to the rest of your digestive tract? I continue to do my best to avoid eating products containing Potassium Sorbate and so unfortunately cannot recommend these dried prunes.

These are cheap and good value. However, they are not that moist and juicy. Better soaked overnight.
