Great replacement
Worried it wouldn’t work like the original that my dog used as a chew toy. Has been very very good.Only complaint is the right click is touchy and will hop two spaces a lot.

Pointer is annoying
Works right out of the box for my 3 year old LG TV. All the buttons work as expected and it is quick. The voice function works well, although I seem to have to speak more slowly than i should have to in order for it to understand me.That being said, I am a little disappointed in the pointer function. It works, but it always tries to come on when I don't want it to. Sometimes it's just easier to use the pad on the remote to navigate on the TV. Then when i try to click to accept, the pointer inevitably comes on and is pointing at something else and it clicks on that! Super frustrating. I wish there was a way to turn it off. Maybe there is, but being as the remote doesn't come with an instruction manual, I can't figure out how.NOV. EDIT: The pointer function is no longer available. No tears shed for that as I didn't like using it anyyay, but the voice to text feature also quit working as well, and we used that quite a bit. Not sure if there's a button that turns that back on? we've tried them all to no avail. Maybe if there was some bonafide instructions that came with it....Knocking it down another star.

Almost identical to the original LG magic remote
I can't imagine that this is not a copyright violation, as this remote appears to be an exact replica of the LG branded remote. The only physical difference I can see or feel is in the resistance of the wheel. It's fairly simple to pair this, but it took me a few times of unregistering and reregistering to have it work properly. The first time it paired, the pointer didn't work at all. The second time, the pointer appeared, but continually drifted across the screen on its own. The third time was the charm. It seems to work almost as good as the original, but the pointer has some lag and seems to "stick" sometimes. Also note that your custom shortcuts will not carry over to the new remote. You'll need to set those up again.I have a 2021 LG OLEDSteps to set it up:1. With the TV on, unregister your current remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons at the same time, on your current remote2. Register your new remote by clicking the wheel on the new remoteRepeat this if you encounter any wonkiness.

Good Magic remote replacement...
Good replacement Magic remote for my LG65A1 with only one small difference I could find and that's how the pointer is activated. My original LG remote you have to shake it to activate the pointer but this one you push down on the OK wheel to activate it. I kind of prefer the original but it does occasionally get activated on accident if you move it too fast. The pointer didn't work right out of the box. I had to hold down the OK wheel for a couple seconds to pair it with the TV then it popped up. It wasn't working right at first and was stuck in the corner so I tried removing the batteries and put them back in and it worked just like the original. These remotes have a glossy finish that scratches easily with normal use so I found a silicone cover that I will use with this one.
