Waterdrop TDS Reduction Water Filter Pitcher with 1 Filter, 10-Cup, Multi-Stage Filtration System, Reduces PFOA/PFOS, Chlorine, and More, Blue

This water filter seems to be cleaning the water very well. I can’t smell chlorine. it’s easy to assemble. And each to fill. I don’t have to remove the complete top. It has a little are with a flexible top that allows me to pour in the water. I fill it once a day. I use it for coffee, cooking and fry. I don’t trust the water coming out of the faucet. I love the light blur color. And.. I think this cleans water of impurities better than the Brita system I had used previously. I don’t know how long the filter will last but I set the button that lets me know when it’s time to change the filter. Fresh and clean water is a net. I totally recommend this water purifier.

I had a Waterdrops under sink filter installed, intended for drinking. It was great for removing chemicals and bacteria, but was not designed for removing TDS - total dissolving solids (yuck). A TDS water tester still read over 100, and I wanted it as close to 0 as possible. So I did some research and bought this pitcher, which online looked like a regular Brita, but upon opening, saw that it had a monster sized filter, was much more sophisticated, and better looking! I filled it with my <partly> filtered tap water, waited a few minutes, poured a glass full and tested it. One word: ZERO!!! I was flabbergasted. And it has remained zero every time I have tested it. This purchase far exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone. One caveat to consider, however… would it still be zero from a tap of unfiltered water? I don’t know and don’t care, because I found a very affordable way to drink pure, TDS-free water.

We were surprised how bad the water tasted after we used this water pitcher. We followed all the instructions, but nothing improved the taste of the water. The water pitcher is also heavy and not practical for in and out of the fridge. After a few weeks, the water still tasted bad. We ended up tossing it out and getting a Brita, which produced good tasting water from the first pour. We've had the Brita for about a month, and the water still tastes great.

I don't really understand the light on top of the pitcher, even after reading the directions. So it really is superfluous and of no use to me. You are supposed to hold it in for 3 seconds when changing the filter and somehow it alerts when the filter is supposed to be changed. The basket that holds the filter must be inserted in the pitcher at all times for the lid to be seated properly. If the lid is designed to allow you to pour filtered water while the pitcher is still filtering, it fails miserably. Water will leak out the top and the spout and mix with the filtered water. There is a clear, plastic flap in the shape of the circle on the lid. It is supposed to allow you to pour water from the faucet into the pitcher to be filtered without taking off the lid, but it doesn't function as intended. It doesn't actually stay closed on any of the 4 waterdrop pitchers I own and water leaks out from there when pouring water. It is hard to explain in detail, but the lid is a big FAIL. This pitcher only shines because the filters are so great and the water is measuring 0 on TDS meter and 0 in Electric Conductivity, is more alkaline after filtering in my repeated measurements. I like the filters, the filtering, the clean water that comes out. I despise this horrible pitcher lid. They need to go back to the drawing board on this one.

The top line: we are very happy with the water taste as well as the pitcher design and function. Definitely in upgrade over our Pur pitcher/filter. Highly recommend! More detail: we wanted something with better taste results than our Pur pitcher/filter. I did a bunch of research, both here and on other web sites. The choices seem to come down to a charcoal filter that gets rid of SOME of the water impurities, or a much more sophisticated filter that gets rid of TDS - Total Dissolved Solids. The former is cheaper (device and filters), the latter is more expensive (device and filters). So first ask yourself if it’s important to get rid of TDS in your water. If you do, then this product doesn’t do that - you need to purchase one that DOES eliminate TDS. For us, that was too pricey - we mostly wanted good tasting water. From there we saw that this filter did more than the typical charcoal filter, a much more thorough filtering method than our old Pur. But in addition to being happy with the water taste, we love the pitcher functionality. With our old Pur pitcher we could not pour a drink while water was still in the chamber while draining into the filter. That was frustrating. With THIS pitcher there’s a nice tight sealing lid that seals the top water chamber, so that even when that chamber is full you can pour a glass of water without spillover from the chamber. An unexpected delight! The replacement filters are a little pricey but we feel it’s worth it for the quality of water we are getting. The flow rate on the filtering process is just fine. All in all, super happy with the purchase.

I like the pitchers design a lot and refill it daily as I use a lot of water. The problem is that after less than 2 months, the original filter stopped working very well. The filter stopped flowing water into the bottom of the pitcher after a few minutes. The instruction booklet said if this happens, remove the filter and give it a few good shakes. I did that, and the filter worked for another day. I changed the filter and am experiencing the same problem after 2 days. I’m very disappointed in the filters. I’m also very disappointed that I spent money on something that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do.

First of all pay attention to when a listing has multiple items this pitcher comes in 3 different varieties you need the one that is titled TDS reduction that is 21$ and has the LONG white filter in the pitcher the other two listed here are equivalent to the brita pitcher and both state DO NOT lower TDS this one with the LONG white filter took my taps 292 TDS to abstract zero not even a 400$ reverse osmosis machine could do that I praise this item also screw the filer on from the inside to the bottom of the blue lid or it will leak ran 3 cycles no soaking needed and water is a strait zero look at my pics I’m the ONLY one that shows the the TDS pics this thing produces the best water I have ever tasted cheers!

Effective filtering.

The filter is really good. And the customer service is amazing. They are very helpful and kind enough to replace the filters.
