If you like horror films that could be real, this is one for you. A great film with a fab story line.Don't go back to the Everglades again

Not bad ,kids go on a boat trip and the local killbillies,get them a bit like wrong turn,only this time the kids fight back,is watchable

The Watermen ticks all the required slasher/horror boxes, but everything you'll see here, you will have seen better elsewhere. Gore? Check; but it doesn't go to the extremes of Hostel or Saw, and some of the prosthetics are VERY poor. Gratuitous nudity? Check; but the women are pretty average looking, and most of the nipple-flashing falls to a pudgy-faced girl with a bad boob job. Obnoxious characters you don't care about? Check; but once again, they're so nondescript that you will have forgotten about them two minutes after they've been dispatched.Also, the titular Watermen villains aren't particularly scary, the plot is even less imaginitive than most movies of this genre and the deaths of the protagonists aren't particular imaginative.As the headline states, this film wants to be Wrong Turn so desperately, and, had it been a lot better, would have screamed 'FRANCHISE!', but in reality, it falls way short of the mark.All in all, this film will satisfy you if you are an insatiable gore addict. However, if you consider yourself something of a slasher connoisseur, you'll want to look elsewhere. . .

Good quality disc but content very poor. Only bought on recommendation, wish I hadn't.

I watched this film and usually I lend my DVD`s to my daughter after, she loves horror . I am very open minded BUT PLEASE FATHERS don't show to your DAUGHTERS . its VERY- VERY- VERY- VERY DISCUSTING . its the TATTOOED BOY that's DISCUSTING and the DIRECTOR should have never put his VERY DISCUSTING BEHAVIOR in film . I felt sick after seeing him being very filthy on screen like a perv . I HAD TO THROW DVD IN MY RUBBISH BIN . never done that before .

Two other reviewers have said this is unoriginal and seen it all before somewhere( I agree and disagree too, The plot is very basic just like all the rest of familiar horror films like Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The Watermen is a slight reminder of The great whale watching massacre which was a bad horror film. While the plot is all very simliar with other titles there are a few scenes of violence which I found to be different and never used in many horror movies. The Cast acted their roles poorly not not so bad you'd want to look elsewhere, The bad guys are dull and you dont see much from them either. The setting is not that unique I've seen a few horror movies on a ship, I do agree very much on the subject of one of the reviewer saying the gore aint that grisly, infact you'd be lucky to even see a glimpse of red in this movie although it only has a couple of kill scenes which only one of them were quiete violent.I've seen this before but it holds a few differences which were enough to keep it not original but still not too unoriginal if you get what I mean.The victims dont have much of an personality on-screen which is a let down as it gets to the point you really dont care who lives and who dies.I've seen much worse than this movie but its not something to be very exited about seeing, and to be honest I could have done without seeing it full stop.Buy it when it goes down to a few quid but dont expect much from this movie!
