Adding to the stress, he is placed in a class with a professor who has a reputation for being grueling. While at the bookstore looing for books on leadership, he stumbles upon Halle Jacobs’ book club and he unintentionally finds the help he desperately needs. Halle has experience with the professor and is willing to help Henry in exchange for help on the novel she is writing. Halle is fresh out of a nasty breakup, needing some real-life inspiration for her book and Henry is a more willing counterpart. So they draft a list of rules to stay on track, but we all know rules are made for breaking. The connection these two share is addictive. Halle finds it hard to make and keep friendships but she meets Henry and everything is different. They have such an instant connection that they immediately become inseparable. Their relationship is truly built on a friendship first and that is my favorite type of connection to read about. Henry considers himself hard to understand..that is until Halle. She knows what he needs before he even knows he needs it, she is truly his person. This book was such a perfect addition to this series and by far my favorite. If you are looking for a cute friends to lovers with a lot of emotion and character development sprinkled with some spice, this is the book for you! Hannah Grace has truly delivered a delightful and utterly charming read with Daydream. I absolutely loved this book; it's the perfect definition of a sweet and cute story that leaves you with a major book hangover. The relationship arc felt organic, peppered with genuinely funny and heartfelt moments that made me smile constantly. The pacing was excellent, building a gentle and cozy atmosphere that makes this book the ultimate comfort read. It’s the kind of story that brightens your day. While I adored every moment, and it’s certainly one of my favorite reads of the year, I’m giving it four stars because it simply wasn't long enough! By the time I reached the final page, I was already missing the characters. I'm desperate to know what happens next and sincerely hope Hannah Grace treats us to another installment, or perhaps even a novella, continuing their journey. I need more of their story in my life! If you’re looking for a heartwarming, fuzzy romance that feels like a warm hug, pick up Daydream. You won't regret it, but be warned, you'll be left craving the next chapter just like me.

3.5 ⭐️ I LOVE these characters but I think the plot was just boring to me. I love all of these characters so much though and being able to see them again is enough for me. Found family is my jam and banter between friends is my jelly. I love the friends and I love how supportive they are for each other. We love a girls’ girl and we love an emotionally stable boy. All in all would still recommend because I think the type of characters Henry and Halle are can resonate with a lot of people and how they handle situations.

I *LOVED* this book. Book three in the Maple Hills series, Daydream is the story of Henry and Halle. We first met Henry in Icebreaker (book one), where he was the adorable-but-awkward (in the most relatable ways) roommate/teammate/friend to Nate. His deep loyalty and weirdness continues in this book, and he’s one of the best dude characters I’ve read in a really long time. Henry is a junior at this point, the hockey team’s captain, and an artist. Halle is the oldest sister, the daughter who basically plans everything for her parents because they ask her to, a people pleaser, an aspiring author, and the ex-girlfriend of a buttface who plays hockey for another school. Henry meets Halle sort of by accident when he ends up in a bookstore where Halle is setting up for her romance book club. Henry and Halle get to talking, and they realize that Halle’s favorite professor is the same professor who teaches the one and only class Henry is struggling with. Halle agrees to help Henry (kind of tutoring but not really), and, in return, Henry decides to help Halle with all of the experiences she thinks she’s missed out on. Their relationship starts as a deep friendship, and grows from there. I related to both Halle and Henry in so many ways, and it was really cool to see some of my feelings written in to characters so well. Henry has trouble reading social cues, sometimes says what’s in his brain without thinking about it and realizes later that he probably shouldn’t have said it, has a VERY low tolerance for loud noises and people being obnoxious, and can’t be surrounded by people all the time. Halle has trouble saying no, has a super hard time making friends as an adult, overthinks things all the time, worries about things she’s said or done or will say or do, and sometimes gives in to what she sees as peer pressure without meaning to. They have an excellent balance together, and it was awesome watching Henry be such a good guy for both himself and Halle, and seeing Halle support and be there for Henry. I would 10/10 recommend Daydream. You could totally read it on its own, but you’ll gain a lot from reading Icebreaker and Wildfire first (Icebreaker was way better than Wildfire, but they’re both pretty good). There’s a super good introduction to Henry in Icebreaker, plus you get to really meet Nate and Stassie, who are amazing. This has minor hockey elements, but it’s really more about art and reading and love than hockey, which was kind of a nice change of pace for a hockey romance (which I read a lot of). Happy reading!

Daydream is the 3rd book in the Maple Hills Series and features Henry and Halles story! This book was adorable and so sweet. Halle is such a relatable FMC who likes books, is shy and quiet, and never puts herself first when she should. Sounds like all us book girlies 🤣✨️ Henry is such a sweet MMC who is the captain of the hockey team and needs a tutor when his grades drop -while they cross paths they become very good friends helping through tough times and eventually a spark between them ignites! Their relationship is so trusting and healthy its refreshing to read about. Halle and Henry’s journey from friends to lovers is so sweet and organic, with communication that's honest, open, and clear, something Hannah Grace always nails! Because of this, there’s little drama between them and I love it so much!!! 4.5⭐️ Halle is dealing with a toxic ex who’s seriously damaged her self-worth, and she’s overwhelmed by always putting others first while her family leans on her without really checking in (classic eldest daughter struggles). Meanwhile, Henry is struggling with the pressures of his new role as captain, feeling the weight of expectations he kinda doesn't want to meet. Despite all the challenges, Halle and Henry understand each other like no one else does. They support each other, help set boundaries, and their love is so soft and gentle, it’s just beautiful. 🥺💖 It’s also wonderful to see the characters from other books! Nate is still the best boyfriend, Russ is not only a great boyfriend but an incredibly considerate friend (unfortunately his brother still sucks), and Stacie and Rory are like sisters to Henry. Halle’s friendships with the other girls are just as beautiful as her romance with Henry. Watching her grow more secure in those relationships and learning to accept help is so heartwarming! ❤️❤️ 🚨Minor spoiler alert There’s a scene involving girls being roofied, and the way this issue is handled throughout the book is really well done. It’s not the main focus, but it’s addressed with care and doesn’t get brushed aside later on.

Okay so I have VERY mixed feelings about this book, so let’s get into it😂🥴 It was definitely a slow start for like the first 1/4 of it, but after that, I devoured it! I absolutely adored Henry (who doesn’t?!) in the first 2 books, so of course I was extremely excited to read his story. While I understand that some people go well into adulthood (and sometimes their whole lives) undiagnosed, I kind of wish Henry would’ve gotten a diagnosis because I feel like that was the extra something the book needed. Everything he was dealing with and him trying to navigate life as a friend, a hockey player, a captain, a boyfriend, I think him going to seek help or looking for resources to try to better understand how his mind worked would’ve added an extra layer to the story. Let’s talk about the FMC, Halle: I loved seeing her growth from beginning to end, learning how to stand up for herself and not letting people walk all over her. And I loved that Henry was able to teach her that saying no is okay if it gives you peace. Halle and Henry’s relationship was adorable🤭. Henry was so sweet and respectful and put Halle first when giving her new experiences and I loved that. BIG HOWEVER, the last 6 or so chapters pmo and made me cry simultaneously and idk how to explain it without spoiling anything so. . .IYKYK😂🥴🥲 Last thing I’ll say is the spice. . . Was very. . . Mild? Tame? Idk but it was unexpected😂 only because the first 2 books were EXTREMELY spicy. I’m not mad at it, just a little shocked and a bit underwhelmed I guess?🥴 Either way, I really loved this book and definitely recommend it, but it was just missing that little extra something for it to hit all the way home for me.

It was very easy for me to relate to this issues they both face at different times. I absolutely adored Halle and Henry and the relationship they grow into. Halle is the eldest daughter and the glue that keeps the family together and on track. She is also a people pleaser as the story progresses you can see while she doesn’t necessarily shed that she is more aware and learning to put herself first. Henry is the new captain of the Hockey team while he likes to have a good time that role is weighing heavy on his mind. Which does not help when he is currently struggling with his own internal issues. In the Author Note she does mention he will not be diagnosed but you can see the signs. The friendship with Halle and Henry is so sweet you can tell there is feelings on both sides but you can also see the hesitation each for different reasons. Henry will have you with heart eyes the group chats will have you giggling. If you are looking for a feel good story about friendship, finding yourself/voice and romance Henry and Halle for the win. Side note many reviews mentioned the change in Henry I see it as in the previous books we saw him from the other characters eyes we see him for him in this one. Hab mir den 2. und 3. Band gekauft, nachdem ich vom 1. Buch so begeistert war. Die Story ist relativ simpel aber trotzdem wirklich schön. Man kommt so richtig gut ins Buch rein und kann relativ schnell mit den Charakteren mitfühlen (was meiner Meinung nach vor allem bei Romance Büchern wichtig ist). Die Schreibweise ist auch für nicht Muttersprachler auf Englisch gut zu verstehen und einfach zum lesen und damit Top zum Sprachkenntnisse aufbessern. Ich kann die Reihe wirklich wärmstens empfehlen :)
