Viair 48043 Chrome 200 PSI 480C Air Compressor

I mounted this compressor with a 10 gallon air tank for a train horn and a 150 psi shut off. Been going 4 months perfectly Love this setup!

I'm using this pump to replace my original pump in my 1977 GMC Motorhome. It fits perfectly, no additional connections, strong, silent operation. The Viair 480c does in 1 minute what took the other pump to do in 5 minutes. Other RVers had recommended this pump, and I am very happy with it. I would certainly recommend it for purchase.

This compressor was my first real 12v and it is well built. Runs very well, no wierd noise, VERY quiet, the only noise is the check valve (doing it's job) resonating in my 7 gal tank. I've only run it a maximum of an 8 minutes at a time and it is amazing. I fill my 7 gal 0-150 in about 8. I have a viair pressure switch 110 on 150 off yet to be installed along with a viair 30 amp dash Panel gauge. This is supplying my 2 trumpet air horn. Recommend to everyone needing air. The head does get pretty warm at the end of 8 minutes but no worries here. EXTREMLY FAST SHIPPING WITH THESE GUYS!!! 100 stars

This is a great compressor. It fills my 2.5 gallon air tank very quickly and makes airing up truck and tractor tires so much faster than my previous, ridiculously slow dinky compressor. And, it's a LOT quieter than the dinky.

Bought this to replace the compressor on a 1790 John Deere planter. It was/is mounted on the tongue and is only used for the airbags. The mounting holes lined up fine. Had to find new connectors for the electrical and air lines. Other than that it was a perfect fit and works! At about 3x less than the new one with green paint!

I bought this pump to use on my John Deere planter as someone else had used it and it worked for them. I installed it onto the planter, primed the system with air, then turned on the compressor. It seemed to work fine. After about 10 minutes of continues use the compressor got extremely hot and quit making pressure. I contacted Auto Care Depot since I purchased it from them and they refused to let me return it because I let it set on my shelf for more than 30 days before I installed it. What a rip off Auto Care Depot is!!!! Watch out doing business with them as they are very unhelpful in situations like mine.

Its a good pump & definitely serves its purpose for me (air-up tires when I get off the trails). I didn't realize that it requires its own separate mounting bracket. Make sure you order a bracket specific to your vehicle- I have a JK 2007-2011 Left Hand Drive. Additionally, I did not realize that this compressor requires you to install a separate power switch- I just assumed that there was a power switch on the compressor itself.Also, the compressor gets very hot (& its super hot in the engine compartment anyway- I only run the compressor when the vehicle is running) & I've actually popped a hole in the cheap plastic air hose that I have a couple times. Here's a little tip if you can't avoid having a cheap hose near the super hot compressor- always keep the air running out of the fill side of the hose (even if its not attached to a tire or anything else) so the air pressure doesn't back-up too much. If there's too much pressure in the hose, & the hose is next to a heat source, there is more chance that the hose will pop.All in all, I am happy with the compressor & it really serves a purpose for me

Small enough to install behind my bumper. Quiet enough that you barely hear it running when the engine is on. Fills up my 2 1/2 gallon tank to 150 PSI in maybe 4 minutes. Very satisfied with the quality
