King of Halloween Jungle: Full Head Gorilla Mask for Wild Fun!

my fiancé purchased this against my will. he got it to scare our cat. our cat wasn't scared. but the mask is realistic enough.

Would get hot. But kids liked it enough to use it for Halloween.

There is a lot of detail to this scary gorilla mask which makes it lots of fun. I do want to note that the mask is much darker in person verses in the photo I took. It is a dark black gorilla mask. It is a medium weight mask with the rubber face being the heaviest and the "hair" being the lightest. I think I have a regular size head because I can wear most any hat so I would say this mask is a medium size. It is a bit of a snug pull-over so if you have an extra-large head, it may be too little. I would guess that most people will be able to wear it. The eye holes and the mouth holes are large enough so that I can see and breath easily but it gets hot with the mask on pretty quickly so I would only want to wear it for short periods of time. I believe all rubber masks make you hot after wearing them for a while and this is no different. This mask is very well made, and I feel it will be durable enough to get many uses out of it. Go ahead, have some fun and get yourself a gorilla mask. Can't beat this deal either.

Well, its a gorilla mask. You put it on, jump out and scare people with it. Or I suppose there is another use you can find. However, pretty much its just that. I slipped this on right out of the box, made some noise and went running up the stairs. My wife saw me and screamed and once she realized it was me (gorillas don't usually wear sweatpants and t-shirts) she yelled at me to take it off because it was scaring her.Quality wise, this is your typical Halloween style mask, the black fur comes off a bit in your hand and its about as soft as a carpet (i.e. not too soft) and it has a latex lining inside for your face to go against so you will probably sweat. However, it does what it is intended to do. Make you look scary. Now its time to go wear this thing out in the woods with some black clothing on while the scouts are camping and see if we can get some bigfoot pictures in the news!

So I really like the quality of this, the fur is very nice and looks pretty realistic really. If you ever wanted to know what you would look like in a Planet of the Apes movie...this will show you. So it was really interesting to see that...when I could see my eyes. The problem: the way it sits on my head, its like shaped to accommodate larger head sizes...so as I am only 5'6 I am not a large person, probably a little below average head size. Meaning...depending on my position, it would kindof tilt downwards on my head, thus leaving the eyeholes over my forehead, or more specifically just above or around my eyebrows. So...the photo above is not blank in the eyes because its a mannequinn...but because the mask hangs low....so you often just see blank skin...instead of the persons eyes. (or sometimes my eye brows, and if I re-position the mask it would show my eyes, but then slips after a minute or two, so then I would have to re-position.)So...you might be able to put something in your shirt/neck area to help prop it up, and keep it from slipping. But otherwise I could only see kindof down around my feet after it kept slipping. Its easy to readjust....but does not stay in place very long. Another good thing...the effect of just seeing no eyes....does make for a super-scary effect and kindof funny too, so you can switch things up..giving it more options. (for a double-scare....perhaps....)Overall: great quality but if you have a smaller than average headsize you won't be able to maintain the eye hole height unless you do some DIY shirt stuffing or other adjustments perhaps. Still like it very much though.
