Coleman Instant Canopy with LED Lighting System

I had purchased this canopy after reading reviews on different options. This seemed to be the best and I loved the idea of having the lights built-in. When it arrived my Husband and I put it up without any issues. If you put up a canopy in the past, it works the same. I noticed some weak spots in the roof of the fabric and afraid it may leak I contacted Amazon for a replacement. They shipped the replacement the next day. We opened the replacement, and that roof was a little worse the the first. When I say weak spots, I am seeing small eraser sized spots that are white vs the tan of the fabric. Not holes, but definitely potential for a hole or water to come through. We both loved the canopy's style and it seems much more durable in the frame then others we have purchased in the past so we decided to keep both of them. Hubby is going to see if he can add a coat of waterproofing on the top to help prevent any leaks.We used both the canopies for a big party over the weekend. We had dry weather but the wind was up to about 20mph. No issues with the canopies not holding up. The stakes that are provided are substantial and even with the saturated ground (due to a week of rain before) the stakes held. We did not use the lights, but did test them. I love the dimmer effect.We will be using them again for an upcoming camping trip . I will update if any issues with the rain.As mentioned in another review, the shade/wind wall did not come with either of mine. I ordered it separately but we did not use it yet.Update: 7/9/14We took the canopy with us camping for a week. We actually had the tail end of Hurricane Arthur come through one night. The canopy held up without any issues during 35+ MPH winds. We had it staked with the tie downs provided. We saw several other campers taking their ezups to the dump after their frames got demolished from the wind. It also rained extremely hard and other then the blowing sideways rain nothing under the canopy got totally soaked. We were very happy with the canopy.

I purchased this canopy in May of 2013 to use for my grilling business. Canopy was set up for 1 week in each month starting with May and ending in August of 2013. Canopy was stored over the winter. I started my grilling season on April 21 2014 setting canopy up for 1 week. By day 2 - two roof supports broke. Day 3- rain which resulted in 3 leaks. Day 4 - 1 side support broke. Day 5 - another side support broke and leaks. This canopy was held together by wooden & metal braces and duct tape. I also purchased a cheaper canopy at Target at the same time and that canopy has held up all week long. No support damage or leaks.DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY!!!!

It is difficult to move even on the wheeled case. The frame is sturdy but very bulky. The set up is not quick or easy, mainly because of the weight. The canopy itself does not seem that durable. You need a large vehicle (think van or larger) to transport this thing.

Easy to put up, best at the beginning by far BUT here is the real rub take it down and it will rip the canopy and fall apartSORRY best design yes, canopy rips very very easily.RUINED taking it apart

We bought this canopy the week before our annual camping trip. It took a little time to figure to put it up the first time (as the instructions say, must have two (2) people), but was easier the second time. While camping, a cold front came through with strong winds and heavy rain, the canopy stood tall with no problems. The stakes and lines provided kept the canopy secured all night. Evenings were great because we had the table under the canopy and did not require a bunch of lanterns taking up space for preparing and eating meals because of the overhead LED lighting. The battery pack is easy to install and out of the way. The batteries were still strong after operating four (4) hours a night for seven (7) nights.

Used this past 4th of July for the first time. It was a windy day and there were several other canopies out. Ours withstood the wind better than any of the others. The lights at night were just the icing on the cake. Love it!
