Good value matter over thread plug
These onvis plugs are good value matter over thread plugs. I have a home assistant set up on a raspberry pi with skyconnect dongle which has matter over thread in theory. I wanted to buy some devices to test the matter over thread compatability. I could not get the home assistant to directly connect (that is more to do with my home assistant setup) but I decided to use my amazon echo 4, which also has matter over thread. It worked straight away with no issues so I am very happy. I could even then link to my Home assistant by getting the alexa app to create its own matter code for onward linking that device to other smart ecosystems - again no problems doiing this. The plug itself is a reasonable size (significantly smaller than the Eve matter over thread plugs), has a reliable connection and has good power passthrough capacity.

Matter doesn't work
I bought these because I wanted to future proof and get the new "matter" standard. They link to Alexa and worked fine, however, after a few hours they reset and no longer appear, you then have to re-add them. Not very smart!

Easiest smart home setup I’ve ever done
This was by far the easiest smart home setup I’ve ever done….and I have about 100 devices. It Works flawlessly and fast. And it’s less than half of the price of the Eve alternative. Very happy with this.

Doesn't work with older iPad/iPhone
I was unable to add this to my network as it requires iOS 16.4 or later, and my iPad tops out at 15.8. My fault, I didn't read the product description carefully enough. I'll be returning the devices as I'm not planning to spend more money with Apple just yet.
