This is a pretty cool thing to have if you're a fan of Pokemon just for the fact that it looks really cool, but it is also a fun fidget spinner to play around with because it's all metal. So whether for display or to play around with it's quite cool. I showed in the pics the ball in my hand to give you an idea about the size of it. I would not call it 1:1 "life sized" as per how large pokeballs appear to be in the video games; it's about the same size as the little electronic pokeball you can get to use as a controller/auto catcher peripheral, which is about the size pokeballs appear to be in the game when the character is wearing them on a belt. This spinner is quite heavy being entirely made of metal with a nice shiny, durable chrome plating, which has a nice tactile feel. There are some "tech" style designs molded on the outside, as well as a button on each side filled with glow in the dark paint that can be "charged up" with the mini UV keychain light that comes with it. As you can see in the pics I took, the UV light charges up the glow buttons quite well, and it will also become charged by normal lamp light or sunlight. It tends to lose some of its glow quickly but then it just makes it more fun to recharge it, which you can do easily while it's spinning, as shown in the item description. It works exactly as depicted.As far as what some other people have said about it "grinding" or not spinning well, this is only due to the 2 pieces that screw together through the bearings (the center of the ball) not being tightened properly. You can tighten them up very easily with just your fingers, there's nothing complicated going on here. If it feels like it's loose or seems to be dragging when spinning, just hand tighten them. I don't suggest gluing them together because if you accidentally get any glue on the bearings, it's going to mess it up. But if this is for a younger person and you're afraid it might come apart during use, you could put a drop of thread glue in there to help it from loosening up during play. That being said, if you ever need to lubricate the bearings for any reason, you can unscrew the center pieces and put a few drops of rubbing alcohol on the bearings and they will spin clean & fast. Never use any kind of oil! After I first got this I cleaned the bearings with several drops of rubbing alcohol and then put the center pieces back in and it will spin for 3+ minutes.If this is for a child, make sure they resist the urge to throw it, because as I said it's quite heavy, and I'm sure throwing it would damage the chrome plating or worse. It's so cool looking that even if you want it for display it's worth it because it just looks that nice. I have it on my pc desk and I can't help but pick the thing up and play with it every day. The glow in the dark thing is fun to charge and the little UV flashlight that comes with it is just a nice bonus. The box it comes in is also quite nice, for display or storage. I don't believe this is an officially licensed item so if that bothers you, then don't buy it. I would not give this to very small children being as small parts can come off of it and the light keychain is also very small and has tiny batteries in it. It does not open up like an actual pokeball (in other words you can't store anything in it).

I read the reviews prior to buying and gave this a chance based on the photos and recommendations on how to tighten the spinning mechanism. I bought this for a stocking suffer for my son. I was excited when it came today as I opened the box (which was high quality and packaged well). My first impression was "this is a really nice spinner toy". The center spinner was a little loose but I was able to tighten it easily. Once I did it worked great. I was also curious about the little flashlight provided. It is used to light up the small circles on the sides of the spinner. It takes less than a second holding the light over the sides of the spinner and they light up! Overall I am happy with my purchase.

The luminous green dots are great. The outer shell looks beautiful. I would have given 5 stars if they superglued it together. It came with the spinner screw undone and it came apart just after a few spins. I had to superglued the center pieces together oil the center spinner for it to stay together and spin correctly. The screw still gets loose after a few dozen spins but I don't want to super glue that as the glue May spill over and make the whole thing stop spinning.

1st off, DO NOT USE GLUE ON THIS SPINNER. It's very common for full metal spinners to occasionally get looseafter a lot of spinning and require a little maintenance. That's the awesome thing about metal spinners, they don't really break unless the individual parts do. They just need tightening and sometimes a little lubing of the bearings.If the two halves of the ball are not holding securely (rattling, etc.), remove the spin caps (either hold one end stable and unscrew the other or unscrew both at the same time). You'll want access to the side that has notches in the inside (check photo provided). It is threaded to the core of the ball to pull the two halves together. Take either a flat headed screwdriver or a similar tool to slip into the notches and tighten it to where the halves are now reunified and stable. Then screw the spin caps back in and give it some test spins. Should be running smooth and not clanking around. 👍 Truly an excellent spinner, especially for nerds of a certain franchise lol. Love the glow in the dark "button."

I bought this for my son. He like it but the product isn't silent like it was advertised. When I took the pen out of the box it didn't work at all. The spinner us cool looking and spins fine, just not silent.

I bought one of these for each of my kids. Super cool! I almost wish I had one for myself! It comes with this laser light looking Keychain that you shine on the green dot and it makes it glow. The kids said its the best and most satisfying fidget spinner they have ever had. They are so rough on stuff and these have lasted! So its a win!

Would not recommend this for anyone. It was great the day we got it and after 2 days it broke apart. Can’t spin it without it making a horrible noise and it rattles like it’s going to break into pieces. Don't buy this.

Bought this as a gift for my 7 year old nephew and we were all so impressed with the quality, all the adults were wanting a turn playing with it. Definitely a great buy.
