Great for retrofitting 143a water fountains
When the chiller cracks or the compressor dies it's a great retrofit system.

Loud but worked
I purchased this to switch out a similar larger unit. I could not find the same unit for my wine cooler so I used this and had to "rig" a bit of the wiring but the fan is way too loud. The sound was too much to get used to. Ended up unplugging the wine cooler and will look at another unit or a new cooler. IT worked, just sounded like a motorized hang glider

Good little cooling system.
This is a great little unit for cooling down a small controller enclosures. I am cooling 2 Rpi3s and 18 5v relays and a couple of sensor boards in 8 x 16 x 5 airtight enclosure that is mounted in 90 to 100 degree Fahrenheit area. It keeps the unit between 24.6 and 21.00 degrees Celsius. Draws 5 amps at 12 volts. Fans are marginal and will need to be replaced sooner than later.

Critical things most people don’t know about Peltier devices
Peltier devices get cold on one side and hot on the other. The more heat you can pull off of the hot side and dump somewhere where it won’t bother you, the colder the cold side can get; so first consideration is planning how you’re going to do that. Mounting a finned heat sink on the hot side and using a fan to blow air over the fins into the same space you’re trying to cool is just shooting yourself in the foot. At the very least you have to blow the hot air into a space that is thermally insulated from where you’re trying to cool. That could be as simple as mounting it in the wall of a styrofoam cooler so that the hot air is blown outside the cooler - anywhere but inside the cooler. Any attachment made to the Peltier device HAS to be done with a thermally conductive adhesive and the performance of commercially available adhesives can vary widely … use the best one you can find. The cold fins have to air blowing over them also, otherwise they will just frost up.

Under preforms
Unit does not draw 60w only drawing 30-35w does not cool very well at all.

It works.
It works, but is not much more than a novelty. The amount of cold air it puts out is about enough to air condition the inside of a shoe box size space. I am keeping it to use as a reference so I may build a larger more efficient version.
