Kuksa is a handmade wooden drinking cup. People in Lapland have used kuksas for thousands of years and when treated right it will last for lifetime. There are as many kuksa designs and sizes as there are makers, since all of them are made by hand. You can find tiny little kuksas or ones big enough to use as a soup bowl. Most common size is around one cup. Kuksa is great for for hiking, camping, kitchen, outdoors or a gift!

Nice but Small
This is a well-made cup, but it really is small inside. I'm keeping it on top of our kitchen water bottle for quick sips of water. I also bought a larger kuska (12-0z) which is perfect for that nice cup of coffee or tea.

not bad
For the price it is not bad although it does not have the polished sheen seen in photo. It came the wood looking really thirsty and even after several treating with mineral oil it is dry. I have since ordered butcher block oil with waxes added which can be polished.there is also no documentation with cup that proves it is made in Finland so I have my dobts. I paid $70 for my other cup which looked much nicer but functionally the same.

Bought 3 of 'em!
Fast shipping and exactly what I wanted. Don't be put off if you see "ships from Finland". They have a warehouse in Atlanta and you can have your cup ASAP. I rubbed in some beeswax and mineral oil on 1 of them to add some shine; I sprayed shellac on the other 2. Works great! Took away that "birch" smell. Took them camping in the Adirondacks after seeing them in a youtube video pegged to a tree at a campsite. Now they don't keep anything warm, but you will look cute sipping from them. You'll be glad you have these on a shelf as a souvenir of the camping trip.

smaller than I expected
this cup took so long to be delivered I had forgotten I had ordered it. Then when I opened it I was shocked at how small it was it will hold less than 8 ounces of liquids. I bought it for my husband to take camping because the metal cups get so hot with warm liquids but this may be too small for use except for a c holds toy. Also it was w hat I would consider way to expensive for what it is. Save your money

feels like Finland
Great wooden cup, did research through reading about bushcraft. From what I have read, Sami people use guksi as a drinking vessel. So much for the history, I like natural material ware. This cup measured right at 120 ml. It appears to have a very light oil treatment inside of cup. Water beads up inside of cup, but penetrates on the outside. It appears to be ready for use out of the box. I will put it to good use.

Awesome!!!
there is another review about this item, being too small or something, but it is not supposed to be a 32ox mega glug, it is a small wooden camping cup, and thats what it is. it is about that size of a small cup, holds probably 8-10oz. it had a slight oily residue but im sure that was from oiling the wood. this thing feels solid and i love it. i will probably buy anoteher. great item.

Nice design, quality lacking.
I ordered this cup for my boyfriend for Christmas. The design is nice, and the cup is everything I had expected, except that within two uses, the wood had already split near the top. I was disappointed, as my understanding is that these are supposed to by durable.
