After talking with a company that specializes in speaker replacement parts, they said it sounded like the electrolytic capacitor may not be doing what it's supposed to be doing. Suggested i replace with a polypropylene capacitor of the same value. I was a little skeptical since the caps value was still in tolerance. After thinking about it for a few days, and was even looking at replacing the speakers altogether, ordered these and installed. It was like listening to a new set of speakers. Could not believe the difference. I am glad l listened. Saved a lot of money. Took about a half an hour to replace both. And hopefully I get another 20 years listening to these speakers.
