As a professional nail technician with 23 years of experience, I have worked with and even been sponsored by some of the most high-end professional nail brands on the market. Because of that, I’m extremely selective about what goes into my professional kit and what I use on my clients. Recently I decided to try the Nicedeco HEMA-Free Rubber Base Gel, and I have to say I am genuinely impressed. One of the first things that caught my attention was the ingredient profile. This rubber base gel is HEMA-free and TPO-free, which is extremely important for nail professionals and clients who want to reduce exposure to common nail product allergens. On top of that, it is vegan and cruelty-free, which is something I personally prioritize when selecting products for my clientele. It’s refreshing to see a brand producing a HEMA-free rubber base gel that focuses on both performance and responsible formulation. From a performance standpoint, this rubber base gel for nails performs beautifully. The viscosity is ideal, not too thick and not too thin- allowing for smooth, controlled application. It self-levels very nicely, creating an even surface while still giving enough structure to strengthen natural nails. When the nail plate is properly prepped and the product is applied in thin layers, it cures perfectly under LED/UV and creates a very durable base. For years I have been loyal to Orly GelFX Builder Gel, which is an excellent professional product. However, after testing this product on several clients, I have found that two thin coats of this rubber base gel can function as a fantastic strengthening base for clients who are not extremely hard on their nails. For those clients, it can work almost like a builder base alternative, providing flexibility and strength while still maintaining a natural feel. Another major plus: I have experienced no lifting and no chipping so far, which is one of the most important factors for any long-lasting gel base coat. Adhesion has been excellent when paired with proper nail prep. I also appreciate the versatility of this product. It can be used in several ways: • As a gel nail strengthening base under gel polish • As a rubber base gel overlay for clients who want minimal structure • As a natural base finished with a clear top coat for a clean glossy look • Or as a base under color gel and top coat for a full gel manicure Another reason I appreciate products like this as a nail professional is the cleaner ingredient approach. I love this product. Its the first time I am doing my own nails and I need something that last. Not hard to apply and cures nicely.

I was not expecting to love this as much as I did. I had been using just normal gel base coat, but my nails have gotten so damaged with months or application and removal. I used this and my nails feel so much better. The base itself is pretty thick. I like how hard it gets once cured. Then after removal, this is the healthiest my nails have looked. Definitely would recommend! It goes well with DND polish. Just remember that it is thick so have that in mind when applying🙂

When my salon ran out of kupa no wipe TC I had to go ahead and buy my own. If I was going to spend my own money on it, I wanted it to be one I could use on myself as well, and seeing as I have a HEMA allergy my options were then more limited and kupa was off the table. I really just went with this one for the affordability/HEMA free factor, and I’m so glad I did. This is my new favorite TC and I actually like it better than kupa’s TC. Great formula, great consistency, incredibly durable, brush fans out perfectly near the cuticle. Doesn’t slip n slide or flood cuticles/sidewalls. Always had great results with chromes and other nail art on top of it. Beautiful glass finish that lasts for me and clients alike. I admittedly don’t use the BC as often as the TC but it is 10/10 too. The attached video is definitely not my favorite set I’ve used this TC on by any means. Im still getting comfortable with dip so I did a practice set on myself; but I felt like it displayed the shine this TC gives off. This set had about a week of nail tech wear on it already and was still stainless, chipless, and shining. Professional Nail Tech Approved ✅

This polish did not make my nails react which is nice compared to some so despite the box and bottle itself saying nothing about being Hema free I am going to trust it isn’t. Nice clear color. Dry time is a bit long. I feel most clear bases seem to be…?

By far the best rubber base I've used. After using this under polish for my clients gel manicures, they still look great at 2+ weeks and very rarely do clients have broken natural nails anymore.

LOVE. I switched from the modelones top coat to this because the modelones kept turning yellow on me. This hasn’t done that and it’s a great product. Used it 2 or 3 times now and no complaints. Use 2 coats though.

Disclaimer: I’m totally new when it comes to giving myself a manicure and doing my own nails so please excuse the less than perfect photos as I did my nails myself. This rubber base is great! I apply 2-3 coats and it gives the perfect layer of thickness to my natural nails so that they don’t feel flimsy. So far no allergic reaction which is a good sign. I get allergic reactions (dermatitis) all over my fingers and around my nails whenever I use nail glue but so far I haven’t experienced that with this rubber base. I started by prepping my nails (cuticle prep, buffing, dehydrator, nail primer) then I applied a thin coat of the rubber base. I cured it for 3 minutes then applied another coat and applied for another 3 minutes. I applied a third coat to any nails I thought could benefit from additional thickness then I cured again for another 3-4 minutes. The base will be sticky/tacky even once cured but this is on purpose as it also acts as a base for you to apply gel polish or a top coat to. You do not need to apply a base gel coat over this. I applied two coats of gel polish and then one layer of a no wipe top coat and I couldn’t be happier with the results! It also self levels so just turn your hand upside down before curing, allow it to level itself to your nails, and you shouldn’t have any ridges or bumps once you’ve cured. My only minor issue is that I didn’t know how long to cure them for so I ended up just guessing and curing them longer than probably needed. It doesn’t say on the bottle or the little box it comes in but it’s not a huge deal. I’ll have to see how well this holds up. I only did my nails yesterday afternoon and it’s now the next day so fingers crossed I get a good couple of weeks out of them before they start to lift and/or chip!
