What a wonderful piece of craftsmanship! The leather case is great and the inscribed poem is easy to read. Ordered this compass as a Christmas gift and the recipients loved it. I would definitely recommend.

Great gift.
It takes awhile to unscrew but after you open it, it’s perfect!! Great gift Poem is hard to read because it’s small. But if someone already knows the poem they know it’s long and having it in a compass is genius!

It looks great! But the compass needle is poorly made or not mounted properly.
The compass and case are as pictured. I can read the poem clearly. It looks great! But it only works ok. The needle appears to be only hanging on by a thread. It would be 5 stars if the actual mechanism was better quality.
