Stansport 2-Burner Propane Stove with Grill (212-600-50)

I am on a two month camping trip and we did a lot of research to find this camp stove. We love it. On the lowest setting of propane emission food still cooks quickly. The red knob is a bit hard to turn but we enjoy that as it doesn’t accidentally lite. Pro tip- if you can’t twist it with cooking hands take a towel or a wash cloth and twist👍🏼 only down side is the average sized pan doesn’t really fit with all side panels in place. I think this would be the case in any camp stove but just a warning

Like several others have noted within their review, mine got to me damaged. I understand that some of the damage is a shipping problem and not a quality control problem. However, the internal packaging provides a lot of potential for damage and the missing screws are not part of the packaging issue. When I attempted to replace the screws I found the sheet metal screws had been over-torqued, thus the looseness. Slightly larger screws were required to fix this. The dent [shown in photo] in the bottom causes the footing there to be higher than the other three, making the stove uneven and tippy on flat surfaces. The last photo shows how poorly the parts inside were secured. I did not expect to need to repair this stove before I could use it and am disappointed by that. I do need it for a trip in a few days or I would consider returning it and buying one locally. Update: I used it on a 3 day trip that I have returned from to find that the left burner will not ignite with the Piezo (non) igniter. It will light with a match...which makes that feature useless. The only good is that it does control well, enabling one to simmer food decently.

Arrived in box that was totally mangled. Upon examination, we realized the stove had been previously used. To see if the stove worked we purchased a small propane can. When we turned it on we had a massive fireball. We were very fortunate that we were not injured and our deck was not damaged. This is an extremely dangerous stove and NEVER should have been resold. We have been using propane stoves for over 30 years and never had this happen. Buyer beware.

I did my two days camping trip. Able to make breakfast and worm our food and make Tea perfectly.

About 4 months in with this puppy, used daily, multiple times a day.. still on the same 15lb propane tank and it has a lot of cooking juice… love it.

The lid was dented. A piece of metal from the cheap hinges came off when first opened. The black grill had been replaced with a silver grate- not as shown on Amazon description. The built in handle is very sharp and not ideal as a carry handle. It works but the grill portion also cooks food unevenly.

I like this stove. I can cook two sides and a steak at the same time.

Ordered this to replace our old Stansport stove. Was initially impressed. Good temp control, nice size (especially with regular siize cooking pots/pans) and pretty color. However after a month of regular use, the paint is peeling and rusting underneath and one of the brackets for the side wind flaps snapped off. We had our old stansport for over 4 years and had highly recommended them to many friends and family due to the size, heat efficiency, durability, and price point. Severely disappointed in this new stove model...

I purchased this stove for my RV after doing research online and have only used it a couple of times, however, initial experience is GREAT! What most sets this apart from other makes is high quality burners -- can be adjusted from very high to very low heat. From what I read by users online, other manufactures who use high intensity heat burners don't have this range, so low heat cooking requirements are not accommodated. I hope and expect my good experience using this stove will continue, as the unit appears to be very well constructed. My recommendation is 5 stars and no negatives.
