After about 3.5 years of using a Harbor Breeze fan remote, it quit working. I sought a replacement and found this one. The first remote sent did not work. I promptly sent it back (free return!) Within two days the new remote arrived. Placed the battery in the remote, set the dip switches to match the fan controls and within a few moments it was back in working order. I will note that it took a few moments for the remote to sync with the fan receiver. (In fact, I initially thought the second remote was defective as well.) However, once synced it has worked like a charm ever since. I have three other identical fans in my home with the same remote. If, or perhaps when, these quit working I would definitely purchase another as a replacement!

I installed this from remote control a few months back having no issues. And then just randomly it started dimming the light by itself. The remote control still works. All the fan speed still work, but the light will start going up and down. The troubleshooting options they provide does not help with this situation and I’m not seeing any other way to communicate to Amazon. That I have a faulty unit.

Easy replacement for the original

The remote itself and its buttons could be a little bigger but it works so no complaints.

I bought this to replace my old remote that I’ve had for over 10 years. The buttons for the fan work great, but the light button will only turn the light on. Pressing the same button again will not turn it off. Amazon did not have the exact replacement that I needed, so I took a chance on buying this one. Since nothing else was availabl, I’m keeping this.

Works as expected. It turns out the problem was the remote. Didn't have to change the receiver.
