Do not put in dishwasher
It works great, but note: it warns not to put extremely hot chocolate in it, because that can melt the tiny lines.I found out that a dishwasher can melt the tiny lines also. I had planned to just leave it in there for 10 minutes and take it out, but I got distracted, alas. Now most of the lines are gone. This is entirely my own fault, but I wanted to warn others.

Hologram works on light colors too
The media could not be loaded. This worked great. I just wish there was a mold with squares instead. My sole purpose for buying this was to make a question mark block from Mario kart for my kid's birthday cake. I only filled the shallow rectangular parts with a couple millimeters deep of chocolate. Because I needed to construct a cube, and these are rectangles, I had to attempt to cut them into squares after popping them out (and "glued" the sides together with more melted chocolate). I used yellow melting wafers & the holographic look was noticeable in the right lighting. Dark colors work a lot better though.

holographic is difficult to see.
I used tempered dark chocolate and got some holographic but not what I hoped it would be. The mold itself is great if you re wanting to make a basic chocolate bar.

Excellent Quality Mold, Great Price, Care Instructions Included
The media could not be loaded. Coolest mold I’ve ever purchased, and I have literally a thousand molds. It worked beautifully the first time with some white Stovers wafers I had left in a bag from who knows when. Don’t mind my blue thumb. I was making wafer paper flowers today when the mold arrived. Lol. It will take some finesse to fill it with enough juicy filling like this raspberry I used but it’s perfect for straight chocolate, or adding dry bits to the chocolates. Well made and comes with great directions. Great job!

Great product when used with care
We should all consider ourselves blessed not just for having the privilege to indulge in homemade chocolate confections but for the serendipitous molecular properties of chocolate which allow us to witness this curious phenomenon of electromagnetic physics. This is cool as hell.I see other reviewers saying their holograms didn't come out well, looking faded. It's important to keep in mind that:1. Good chocolate making is a very precise and fickle process. Temperature is extremely important, as well as keeping everything clean and dry and following instructions carefully.2. The effect can be difficult to perceive in certain light. It's easiest to see under a single bright source of light that is either natural (e.g. sunlight) or emits a broad range of wavelengths (e.g. white LEDs).3. The mold should be treated with care, as per the instructions that come with it.4. The darker the chocolate, the brighter the hologram.Personally, I love this mold and I'm super excited to use it more. And I can't decide whether to buy more as gifts, make more magic rainbow chocolate as gifts, or both.A couple more tips:-Don't chill the mold as this can create condensation which can interfere with the pattern.-Don't leave the chocolate in the mold for too long, as this apparently can damage the mold pattern. My bars were perfect after 30 min in the fridge.

I couldn't get these to work
I followed the instructions but was unable to get the desired effect. I'm not saying they don't work, they didn't work for me. You may have better luck.
