ALTRA Torin 7 Men's Running Shoes, Black

Like all the Altra shoes I've ever had they are very comfortable and are the perfect running shoe. I got this black one for two reasons, it was on sale and I wanted a more neutral color. It's perfect for me, big box toe for them to spread out when running and just the right amount of cushion.

My chiropodist recommended I buy this brand and he wasn’t wrong! Super comfy trainer with plenty toe space which I needed due to bunions! It feels like walking in clouds. Laces a bit short but stay tied so not a problem and good practical colour love these buy half size bigger if you can!

I have loved Altra paradigms, but they wore out. I had to return these because, unlike my previous Altra shoes, these were loose at the heel and ankle and would have rubbed. Topo suits me better now.

I bought two pairs of these shoes. The first pair developed a fault in less than 30 days. I took them to John Lewis to return them, but they blamed me for the holes that started to appear. The second pair, which I bought directly from Altra, also began to develop the same fault after just over 30 days of very light use. Despite using them only for walking, as they are very comfortable, the second pair developed the same issue. I am still using the old pair for walks to the local parks. The upper fabric is not strong enough and tears during regular wear. There are quite a few reviews on Amazon mentioning the same problem. Overall, they are definitely not worth the money, and I don’t think I will buy Altra again.

First off, the fit is perfect, love the wide toe box, I’ve always struggled to get running shoes that fit as a compliment to my barefoot shoes. Now, the main issue I had is that the foam is so soft it’s like running with marshmallow for cushioning. While running my foot would just squish off the side and made me roll my ankle. Maybe it’s because I’m a heavier bloke, but when my foot struck the ground it seems to completely squish all the foam and feel like I was hitting the ground hard These were just the wrong thing for me completely and don’t feel they are suited to heavier people, maybe a skinny fella would have better luck

I’ve used it for more than 700 km. Still going strong.
