I like the suction power and ease of use. It does exactly what a gravel filter should do. No issues, easy to operate, great price point.

Love the bulb to start the siphon. It moves a lot of water when I’m doing weekly water changes. And the grid really keeps me from sucking plants into my siphon. It’s a little too strong for my 5 gallon tank, but it works great in my 10 and 20 gallon tanks. I’ve had it 2 months and love it.

This is my 3rd aquarium cleaner for my 10-gallon tank. The other 2 hose cleaners were hard to use and easily they broke. I really like this cleaner, the material used is sturdy, the hose was easy to attach. The pump is strong and effective, I pumped the pump twice and the water quickly moved through the hose.No hard work trying to get the water moving through the pump. The mouth of the hose is wide so you can use this for a much bigger tank.However, it took more water than actual debris and other fish waste. Not saying it didn't clean at all, BUT it took water a lot quicker. Still, not a huge issue, I like this cleaner and I would still recommend it to friends because it was effortless to get the job done.

I like that you don't have to get all wet placing your hands inside the tank to hold the suction tube. I recommend unscrewing the plastic collar from the suction tube end piece put it onto the blue tube and then put the tube into the suction tube end and then thread the collar on instead of risking breaking the tube/collar assy. I only needed 2 pumps to get the flow going. The siphon pump is marked in/out so make sure your is orientated correctly. I did cut off about 2" right at the siphon junction as the packaging/storage had the clear hose with a sever kink at the pump so it was almost closed. Even straightening this it would just close at this point again. I'm guessing the weak part of this design is the possible flimsy blue plastic tube might not be sturdy enough when all assembled to take much stress over the combined length of the suction tube piece and the blue tube length. I may modify mine to be more robust.

Honestly I believe my fish tank is just too small for this gravel vacuum. I am a new fish parent and I didn't think this would be as big as it was. It mostly sucks up the water. It does get rid of some of the dirt but no where near the snot I feel like it should suck up. At the end of the day I end up just using it to get all the water out and then hand wash the gravel myself.

This is now the second one that was broken right out of the package. Of course I just opened it to clean my fish tank and the second one was broken. The window of return has come and gone since when I bought it I didn't need to clean the tank yet, now I'm pissed! I had the same item a few years that I used a lot and it was made well and sturdy. I finally broke after 4 or 5 years of multi fish tanks being cleaned weekly, this looked just the same but it's made completely inferior.. This is just junk and total crap!

This is one of the easier ones I've used to clean my fish tank I do recommend letting it sit in hot water till it softens and then lay it straight out on the floor to cool off it makes a lot easier to use I do wish it came with a clip to help hold the other ends in the bucket but it's very easy to get started

Works well. Size is commensurate with task.
