This product, Smelleze is the reason that I'm breathing and living today. If I had to breath in the odor of a dead rat that my husband dumped into our outside garbage can one more day I'd literally be dead as well. I'd never smelled anything like this. The scent was horrifically disgusting. I had to do something and fast!! I paid Google, AI, and YouTube a visit. After carefully reading over several reviews and comments, I chose smelleze. What an awesome and gr8 choice! I immediately ordered the 2 lb container in which was to arrive the very next day. And it did. I immediately read the instructions and sprinkled some in our garbage can, and other areas where I thought that there was a dead rat. The awful scent diminished instantly. You can imagine how relieved and happy I was. Thank you to the makers of Smelleze and Amazon for saving my sanity!! For anyone having dead carcass problems in their home or outside, I advise you to give Smelleze a try. You won't be disappointed.

It works as advertised!! It saved me a lot of trouble. Never found the mouse as yet but the stench is completely gone and very quickly.

This stuff absolutely did not work. There was a dead animal somewhere under my front porch that I could not find, so ordered this item. Wound up returning it and just waiting for the poor animal to stop stinking.

The product worked as advertized. It absorbed to smell and nuturalized the odor in the barn from rat smell and droppings. Made for "much easier and odor smell ability" cleanup.!! After initial clean, sweep up...I sprinkled the product on the floor to continue to provide absorbson to the area. I feel it was a Great Value" for the amount, 25 lbs., vs other similar products out there.

We got a free pool table from a catfish bait manufacturing company - needless to say it smells HORRIBLE. Smells exactly like a dead rat. I first sprayed the entire thing with a biological enzyme and upholstery vacuumed the entire thing, and then a few days later I covered it in this stuff and let is sit for about twelve hours. My first impression was that I was pretty sure it’s just cat litter. After vacuuming up the granules in the morning, the smell *was* a bit better, but I think my enzyme spray and upholstery cleaning did most of the work. I don’t feel like the granules did much of anything and I’m pretty positive it’s just cat litter. Cat litter will absorb some of the smell, but it’s just not strong enough to get all the funk out. While my living room no longer smells like a dead rat, if you lean your face in and smell the felt, it still stinks pretty bad. So I won’t say that this product simply didn’t work, I just feel like it’s over priced fine cat litter. Yes, it absorbed some smell, but I’m pretty sure I could’ve just milled some cat litter and had the exact same product for far cheaper. I will be searching for stronger products to completely eradicate the smell because this simply did not work for me.

I have not been able to locate the source of the smell of decomposition in my condo. As soon as the order arrived I placed numerous take out container lids with products in the 2 rooms with the strongest smell. Literally within 5 min to my amazement the odor was 90% better. Can’t say enough about this product!!!!!

Miracle… I had a critter get into our basement (long story) and the. bugger went and died. Oh my the decomposing was horrible, and we could not find where it died. I told my hubby this is not a mouse! After weeks of gagging the worst was over but still a horrific odor. I finally went on a mission to pinpoint where this critter died. The smell was strong coming from under our basement stairwell. So moving this and moving that and stuff that was stored there, I finally found what the creature was. It was a bunny rabbit that had died. I scraped him off the cement floor and placed him in a disposable bag. I did the best I could to scrub that area, but the decomposition from the bunny had seeped into the floor. So I ordered this stuff from Amazon and by golly. It worked. I took handfuls and spread it over the area where the dead bunny laid. We have finally been able to overcome that horrible stench. This stuff works! As far as how a bunny got in… that is a long story, the joy of country living and a mobile home.

I don’t understand…I wrote that I didn’t receive this item & got an email later in the day saying that I need to return for a replacement?? How can I return what I never received? I’ve used this product before and wanted extra “smell absorbant” fto use after I’ve rejuvenated the original product so many times that it’s no longer as effective in removing odors. Maybe I misunderstood something but I can’t return something that I never received to have it replaced. ****** Update to review: I didn’t receive the 1st one of these when I received a delivery confirmation…eventually it was delivered. Either it got lost for a while or ended up on a neighbor’s porch…not unusual on our small street w/only 9 houses so could’ve been put on my porch by a neighbor. In any event, I did get an email from the seller ((I think) but for some reason yahoomail wouldn’t let me respond to it. I apologize to them for not waiting longer to write my first review and any misunderstanding. I only need to refill the original bag w/the odor absorb at 1-2 times a year as don’t get many mice, maybe because I use bait traps outside. I’ve recently found that the bag of Smelleze doesn’t have to be super close to the source of the odor and it still absorbs the odor. I have an unusually sensitive nose so smell a dead mouse in the basement or garage before it’s been dead very long (always check my sticky traps) . There wasn’t a place to hang the bag as close to the sticky trap than I usually do for 1 of them but it still absorbed the smell within 36 hours.
