This has been a game changer for homework time, getting ready, chores, and play time. This has set the standard to show him time and help minimize meltdowns or arguments. He is able to set the needed time, do what is needed, and see where he is at with in his time frame. He has made it a game for chores to see if he can get them done before his time is up....Mom win! Highly recommend. My 3 year-old is also getting on board with this timer to show him time as well....Mom win x 2!

Our son gets distracted when doing certain tasks (eating, handwashing) and using a visual timer like this is so helpful. Now he finishes things before the timer finishes! I imagine it will be great for homework in the future too.In terms of features, the timer is easy to set. The alarm is loud enough. It's easy to see the timer and how much time is left, even from across the room.

Easy to use and good quality.

I received a first one that was not working (not beeping at all), but it got replaced quickly and the new one works great. My kids like to use it when brushing their teeth, or when getting ready for school. No complaints so far, especially as the first one got replaced quickly

Our family loves visual timers. We've been using them with the kids ever since they were two-years old. We've also gone through a lot of them (either because they've been dropped and broken, dropped in a toilet/sink, or due to time drift). The time drift is a real issue with these analog visual timers -- over time, even with new batteries, it seems that they somehow become less and less accurate (e.g. set them for 25 minutes, and they might go 30-40 minutes instead).I've included a comparison picture of this one next to one (blue) of our previous ones (green) that has started to experience time drift after ~1 year. We've purchased this same-designed analog visual timer from at least five different brands now -- they just change the logo in the bottom right corner.One negative difference between this one and our previous one is the material -- all of our previous ones (including the green one) featured a slightly rubbery material on the outside -- this one (blue) is a smoother, shinier plastic. It just means that it is a little less grippy in the hand and slightly easier to accidentally drop/push off a table.All in all, it's your pretty standard analog visual timer. You can set it to any time between 1 and 59 minutes (although I recommend you wind it all the way to 59 first, and then back to your desired time). Underneath the battery cover, you can choose between a low and high volume for the alarm, and between a 3-sec or 60-sec alarm duration.Overall, if you're looking for one of these analog visual timers, this one is pretty much the same as all of the other ones of this style. I'm only knocking a star off because of what I perceive as a slightly inferior material on the outside. I'll lower the star further in a follow-up edit if it starts to experience time drift faster than the average of 1-year for the other ones we've had.

I am a second grade teacher and one of my students relies heavily on knowing how much time they have left to complete an assignment. I asked them their favorite color and ordered blue for their desk. They love this timer and so do I. Super durable…has been dropped numerous times and still ticks away! I will be buying more of these in the future!

I really like how easy it is to use the timer, and it's a great visual to use with my toddler. She loves setting the time. However, the sound of the alarm going off is awful! It's just a little quieter than a smoke alarm. I was really hoping it would be a pleasant kitchen timer "ding". Nope.

I carry this around in my tutoring bag. My students love it!
