The thing that attracted me to this book was the very bright colors on the book cover. I love the idea of working with such bold color schemes. This book is such a pleasant departure from the muted colors of many watercolor art books. The colors are not crazy unique, so if you have a well-rounded collection of paints, you will likely be able to jump right into creating some beautiful artwork.For me, the most important feature of this book is that it contains step-by-step instructions that are numeric and alphabetic. Each step includes a photo of how to paint that step… and so there is a progression of photos till you end up with a completed piece of work. I LOVE THAT!Overall, I can enthusiastically recommend this book if you are looking to work with bold colors. As a side note, I noticed that the author posted a video of her, her husband, and her toddler walking through a bookstore and finding her book for sale. That was so endearing that I wanted this book even more! I wish the author much success in future endeavors!!!

Que dire à part que ce livre est absolument incroyable! Photos pas à pas et techniques expliqué de manière très simple. Le livre est en anglais mais il vaut le coup d'être traduit. Foncez!

Un libro per principianti fatto davvero bene. Indicazioni chiare e facili da seguire. Tutti i passaggi sono spiegati con delle foto. Ottimo libro per fare esercizio. Attenzione, io l'ho trovato solo nella versione in inglese ma mi è sembrato piuttosto semplice da tradurre. Molto soddisfatta.

This reminded of a slightly more simplified version of Mako's No Fault Watercolor book (also a good book). Things I really liked: bright and clear pictures, instructions good and clear, step by step pics with brief instructions alongside, a focus on wet on wet, blending, the structure of a project per day. Colour names for each project are shown, but not pigment numbers. Overall surprisngly happy with this, the way it is photographed is pretty and inspiring. Would say ideal for beginner who understands the very basics and wants to practice.
