It works
This is the forth time I have replaced the Touch Screen on my iPad and each time it gets easier. The first one did not have the home button so I used the old button but, it did not stay in place. The next two had the home button and worked great but both times I dropped the iPad and cracked the screen. However, both times I used the iPad quite some time with clear tape over the cracks. I now have a better protective cover for my iPad.The thing I like about this touch screen, it has the home button already installed, the low cost and it works

Works fine
Installed in 2 hours .spent most of the time to remove the broken glass and cleaned the trim . the actual installation to the new glass took less than 1/2 hours. Connectors and glass fit on fine. There is a unnoticeable 1/64" gap on one side after the installation completed which doesn't bother me. The glass appears clear and function well. The pre mounted home button is nice but some how not flat on the bottom side when touch. Please note there is no tools included in this kit which I saved a few dollars. I will get this again if I need one in the future.

Love the adhesive
Love the adhesive around so you can just press and go. good fit and work well. Have to take away one star for no adhesive for the home button cable. It's almost to get it in the right place when closing up the screen. Very easy to pinch the home cable, I have to remove the corner just to get the home cable just right. Good price for the product.

iPad Air Gen 1 touch screen removal caution not to cut internal antenna like I did.
Fortunately, my iPad Air display screen was not broken. Only the outside touch screen glass was shattered. A much lower cost part. The part purchased here works well so far and seems to be good quality. However, there is no instruction at all and that prompted me to write this review so other can avoid the one mistake I did.The iPad Air Gen 1 touch glass replacement was not hard but tedious. When removing the broken screen, be really careful not to cut into the antenna like I did in the picture. Using the box cutter to remove the old screen was easier to separate the glue but the large blade can accidentally cut into things. Keeping the cutting blade more retracted would reduce from unintentional cutting. The antenna are located in lower right and lower left of the iPad.After putting in the new touch screen, don't glue the screen down yet. Use some clear tapes to hold the new screen temporarily into place and use it for a little bit to make sure everything is functional.Good luck!

Good for adult owned goods, not meant for kids hands.
It was a great price but the quality was poor. I say “was” because the screen broke again a few days after install. Now the iPad is useless and I’m done dumping money into a new screen with digitizer.

Check and double check before you close it up.
This is the second screen I've purchased from this seller. The first didn't stick well but I had extra adhesive and worked great. I chose to purchase a second screen from this seller because the first worked well. This screen worked until I removed the backing from the adhesive and laid the screen down. As soon as I restarted the iPad it began ghost typing, areas of the screen were unresponsive, and apps were opening without being touched. I contacted the seller and waited 24 hours, but no reply. Contacted seller again, still no reply. I'm very disappointed with this purchase.

Exact replacement part
I have purchased parts of this sort from another web based company but they couldn’t beat this price or free shipping. Great part. iPad works like new. If you are attempting this for the first time, I highly suggest watching all the help videos you can and find one you can follow. Not a difficult fix but be careful not to tear the ribbon cable attached to he body of the iPad. It’s easy to do. I learned the hard way.
