Ignites Fast Stays Lit! 72 Piece Box
I took these little fire starters on my camping trip this memorial day weekend. They work awesome! They ignite quickly and burned long enough to ignite the pine branches I had collected in and around my campsite. They also lit the birch firewood I had brought along with me without any issues. I used them three at a time because I had the wood to be burned in a lean to position so one starter for every two to three branches. I like that they are natural, safe for cooking fires, put out a good flame and last a long time! They also stay lit in windy conditions which was my case. I had a harder time igniting my lighter in the wind. But in the same wind as soon as flame touched the fire starters they lit up and stayed lit where my gas lighter would go out. In summary: They are simply easy to use. They can be used in various fire lighting scenarios from campfires to BBQing with charcoal to fire places. I consider them a value for the price. Using one to three of them per fire they are going to last for several camping trips. (72 pieces @ $12.59 per box) They are small and lightweight. Backpacking them in they weigh next to nothing and take up very little room. They will ignite in various weather conditions including wind and rain. I haven't written a review for a product in a very long time (I'm talking years here.). I'm quite impressed with this product! I hope this helps anyone looking for this type of product.

So easy to light a charcoal chimney
I've been using old newspapers and stacks of paperwork that needed to be shredded to light my charcoal chimney for years, so I wasn't expecting these fire starters to make a big difference. Boy was I wrong! I'm so impressed. My paper method took a surprising amount of paper, created a mess with flying ash, and most times the charcoal still wouldn't fully ignite on the first attempt. These fire starters eliminated all of those frustrations. Just place one under the chimney, light it, and let it do its job. Come back in 15 minutes and you're ready to go. So far, I used two of the tumbleweeds. One burned for about 3 minutes, while the other, larger one, burned for over 8 minutes. Even with the difference in burn time, both produced enough consistent fire to get the charcoal lit without any issues. The whole process much easier than what I was used to. They are 100% odorless. They don't leave behind any unpleasant smells. If you regularly use a charcoal chimney for grilling or smoking, I highly recommend these fire starters. They are simple to use, and far more reliable than the newspaper method. I use my smoke protiens about 2 or 3 times per month so I will definitely be keeping these on hand.

Great for starting fires just not sure about fires for cooking
I’m so happy I ordered this item from Amazon because it works great but I would avoid using them for starting anything you want to put food on or anything that you want to cook on because you never want to cook anything over pine wood because it will pick up that pine smell and make your food taste like pine as well unless you can start the cooking fire in enough time to completely burn off that smell of pine wood and let it burn out for two or three hours before you want to cook anything on it otherwise you will ruin your food you should always allow yourself enough time to let everything cook off before you even think about cooking anything you even have to let the smell of the lighter fluid burn off for at least 45 minutes before you put anything on it charcole grill and I would say to double that time if you want to use pine anything to start any cooking fires

Work Fine but Much Smaller Than Expected
These Realcook fire starters do their job — they light easily, burn steadily, and work well in a grill, fire pit, or wood stove. The problem is the size. Each starter is about one‑third the size of similar products I’ve bought in the past, which makes the “72 count” a bit misleading. In practical use, the whole box is roughly equivalent to about 25 normal‑sized starters. They’re functional, easy to use and reliable, but the reduced size takes away a lot of the value and will keep them from lasting nearly as long as you might expect.

These are a number 1# product to have at a cookout!!!! Unbelievable fast action. I Love this brand, look no further. There's enough for multiple grills, this is a family's go to to keep that grill going. I used them for a event of 100 people. With more still left over. Magnificent!!!
