Perfect little egg poacher with multiple uses suitable for induction cooktops!
Perfect little egg poacher...plus, very useful small pan suited for induction cooktops as well as all others. After installing a new induction cooktop that I LOVE, my go-to single egg poacher used for years by my grandmother while raising her children, was no longer usable. I wanted a smaller egg poacher..not one for 4 eggs, and found this one. It is well constructed, heavy (making it suitable for a even quick saute) with egg poaching parts that work well. The insert is vented, has 2 knobs for lifting, with 2 coated egg cups with knobs as well. The cooked eggs slipped right out. The glass lid has a vent hole as well. The one I have used for decades was actually a bit of a challenge to get the egg cup out of without burning fingers a bit. The seller shipped it immediately and it arrived ahead of schedule in perfect condition..its box is heavy and designed to protect the product. Im very happy with it and am pleased with the size.

should have bought this a long time ago
Now I have only used this once because it just arrived a couple of hours ago but I am impressed. I have been struggling with poached eggs all my long life and never been truly satisfied. I put off buying any of the aids and devices because of either price or bad reviews. Until this week when I took the bull by the horns and bought this one. Yes, it was expensive, for me anyway, but it seems to be very well made and came in good protective packaging. Even without any suggestions for use I was able to produce two perfectly poached eggs and not end up with scalded fingers as I am used to using a shallow pan.I did use a bit of spray oil in the cups and am not sure if that is necessary or not, but it didn't hurt. The whole thing is easy to clean, no leftover egg scum like when you use a regular pan. I am a happy camper and look forward to many wonderful poached eggs, my favorite way of having eggs but seldom enjoyed up until now because of the difficulty making them well. **Update** You do need the spray oil in the egg cups. I forgot it this morning and although I got the eggs out almost intact it involved some difficulty. Totally unnecessary if you use the oil.

Very good poacher with two problematic issues
This is a very well built poacher. It does a great job poaching eggs. Two things make it less than a 5 star rating. The vent holes in the part the poachers sit in are right next to the handles you grab to remove the poacher. You get steam burned trying to remove the poacher if you don't wear some kind of protection. Because the vent holes are small they blow allot of steam. Trying to drop an egg into the poacher requires you to hold the egg about 5 or 6 inches higher than the poacher to prevent being steam burned. Some eggs will splatter dropping into the poacher. If the egg splatters under the central knob handle it is difficult to get clean. I'm thinking about making a separate stand where the poachers can be filled then use the central knob handle to move them into the pan. When done, the central knob handle would be used to move the poachers back onto the stand to prevent the steam burning issue. Anyway, it's a great poacher. I've been poaching eggs for breakfast for 30+ years.

Best egg poacher I've ever used
The problems that I've had with egg poachers is that they are difficult to use. The little cups in this poacher allow for easy removal. When I put the egg in the little cups and then transfer them to the pan, I avoid some of the egg white falling into the water and causing a mess when the water boils. It works well on my induction range top also. I would recommend it to anyone.

Pan okay, but handles are made of really thin sheet metal.
Received the pan today. The looks to be made of stainless steel, and is polished. It does have a bit thicker bottom, but the handles are very thin. Maybe about 1/32" in thickness. When received, the end of the long handle was crushed in. While being shipped it must have slid in the box. The end just bent down and rolled in. It was the more expensive of the pans, so I figured the pan would be made a bit better. The rivets holding the handles to the pan are only about 1/8" in size. Pretty small in comparison to other stainless pans that I've purchased. The lid looks to be of good quality.

This is the best quality egg poacher.
This arrived with only one egg cup instead of two and I almost sent it back. Meanwhile I ordered an Excel brand off of Amazon and I was so disappointed in the replacement that I decided to keep the Kitchen Craft and just order another cup on eBay. I could have sent it back and re-ordered but I’m so in love with this new egg poacher but I didn’t want to do without it for one day. Makes absolutely fantastic perfect poached eggs, the pan is heavy and the whole thing is quality. Very easy to pick up the hot egg cup without getting burned and that is a big problem with the other egg poacher. This one is perfect , I would buy it again and again. It’s my new favorite thing in the kitchen. This is the best quality egg poacher.Don’t settle for less than the best, don’t shop price, spend the extra five dollars and get this one. Takes a little longer to arrive from England, but well worth the wait. I won’t be disappointed.

Well-made egg cooker.
This is a heavy-duty egg cooker; well-made and well-designed. It is easy to use, easy to clean. My double-boiler steamer insert also fits the bottom saucepan, so it is very versatile as well. I wish they made one that would poach three eggs as my husband usually wants two eggs. Some simple instructions would have been nice too.

Absolutely perfect, amazing quality. Get water to boiling then to rolling simmer, I use some spray oil in the egg cups and have the eggs in separate containers ready to go. Pop the cups in, get them warm and pop in the eggs. 4 minute timer - perfect poached eggs with ooey gooey centre! Friends have the six cup one - they manage a motel and use this for breakfasts - that’s a huge endorsement for the durability and quality.

We love our egg poacher, the only reason it has 4 stars is that the cups used to be larger (this is our third pan, just because we keep on giving them away to other people who love it too) and now the eggs overflow the tiny cups so that the way an and the water look pretty dirty…
