Bought several of these to add a 2.5" SSD to a 2009 iMac. The benefit is that the offset fixing holes match perfectly with the iMac drive cables which don't stretch. Other brackets usually place the drive in the centre of the bracket and the iMac leads would not stretch that far.

Bought a few of these over the years and I cannot fault them at all. These are the type that offset the 2.5" SSD so that it can be plugged directly into a 3.5" SATA bay that has hard-wired connectors as I have noticed that a lot of them now are becoming more centrally mounted and cannot be used for plug n play but for say in PC Towers where SATA cables can be used.

SSD revitalised a slow (old) PC. Much, much faster boot and app inialisation. This, together with extra RAM means I don't have to buy a complete new system yet.

Ok but only has bottom holes for 2.5 drive not centred.

Absolute garbage! only 2 out of 4 holes line up with the 3.5 mount and the drive sits 3mm out of line. Had to cut the top off and drill new holes in the correct place to make it fit. Total waste of time.

Pretty expensive piece of tat. The screw holes don't line up properly and the screws provided don't even fit into my new Crucial SSD

Firstly, the Crucial SSD I bought fit perfectly into this bracket. The problem was that I was not then able to mount the assembly into the PC, as there are only holes on the sides. I conclude that this bracket is only suitable for PCs where the mounting screws are in the sides of the existing hard drive. If, like mine, they are through the back of the existing hard drive, then this bracket will not help.

Usato per installare un ssd pioneer. Fa' egregiamente il suo lavoro. Forse un po' leggerino come lamiera, ma nel complesso fa' quello che deve egregiamente e considerato il costo è ottimo. Viti in dotazione.

Mit diesem Kit kann man 2.5" Festplatten aller Art in ein 3.5 Zoll Mounting einsetzen. Fest und sicher. Montagematerial anbei. Was will man mehr?! Kaufen!

Algo caro para lo que es. Hay que tener en cuenta las medidas ya que, en mi caso, es corto y sólo puede atornillarlo en un agujero de cada lateral, de los dos que debería, en las guías para fijarlo al iMac. En cambio, ya que son medidas estándar, el SSD se atornilla perfectamente a este soporte con los cuatro tornillos que incluye, mejor dicho, dos juegos distintos de cuatro tornillos para elegir el que mejor se adapte a nuestro disco.

This adapter uses the correct screw sizes! More specifically, the threaded holes on the sides of the bracket are #6-32, the same as a 3.5" hard drive. Some computer cases require special hard drive screws that have rubber washers to absorb vibration. These screws are usually usually #6-32. You will need a adapter tray that has the same size taps/holes. Many brackets (mostly the cheap ones) have M3 holes on the sides of the tray. This is incorrect. While a 2.5" drive uses M3 screws for mounting, the adapter bracket should use #6-32, as if it was a 3.5" drive. That's why you want the adapter tray. Right?
