AeroPilates Premier Reformer

We love our AeroPilates 701 Reformer. It was easy to assemble. We use it daily and are enjoying the benefits. Only wish I had purchased it sooner!

Arrived early. Only took about 10 minutes to assemble after pulling it out of the box. I am a large frame woman with wide shoulders, the premiere carriage is perfect. Rolls smooth on the frame. I did not like the fuzzy handles so I ordered the double loop to replace.

I started taking reformer classes about 15 years ago at our gym. There is a cost, so I would only go once a week. I loved working out on the reformer, and always wanted one at home. I saw this, read the reviews, and my husband agreed that we should get it.It arrived 2 days before the expected date, and was very easy to assemble. My husband is a structural engineer, specializing in steel and concrete, and was very pleased with the product. He says that it is well designed and constructed.We have both been using it for over 3 weeks, and are very pleased with it. Some people have commented that it makes a clanking noise when used. Ours does, too, but having examined it while I was using it, my husband says that it is the rollers going over the joint, and doesn’t effect the performance.I adjusted the straps for my arms and then my legs, making marks with a silver permanent marker to make it quicker when adjusting them when needed.The enclosed videos were very helpful, but I do recommend a few lessons, or working with someone who has reformer knowledge to be sure you are using it correctly. It’s one thing to do the exercises, it’s another to do them correctly. Because of my experience in using a reformer, I am able to coach my hubby in doing it correctly.The rebounder is a great addition to my workout. I have read that NASA says that 10 minutes on a rebounder, is equivalent to a 30 minute run. I believe it! Because of arthritis, I can’t jog, but this has been an easy way to get in some cardio.

I am not new to Pilates. My gym has several Pilate Reformers which I take private sessions with a trainer twice a week. Like any fitness routine, consistancy is key. I wanted more sessions and it becomes expensive. This machine I thought would make a great addition to my routine, figuring I will be able to get 4-5 sessions in per week instead of 2. Here is the thing about this machine. Yes, its sturdy. Yes, it glides easily. The assembly wasn't the easiest but not the worst either. Here is where it goes wrong for me. While the reformer itself folds and is portable, the stand is NOT. The machine is HEAVY so I DO NOT foresee a woman lifting the reformer onto the stand to use. If you are purchasing because of a lack of space, know you will be throwing out the stand because it takes up alot of space. If you are purchasing this maching because you don't want the reformer on the floor, this is not the machine for you. If you are planning on keeping the reformer on the stand and not trying to save space then it's perfect for you. The description of this being portable, foldable, for easy storage just isn't so. I like it but not happy to learn about the stand not being foldable.

of Pilates and the equipment- it was easy to put together this reformer with the directions. Still trying to figure out the strings - they are not even. But that is the only thing I have an issue with - I am ok.Overall, I really like doing the workouts, especially being a beginner. Learn something every day. If you are looking for Pilates equipment and do not have a lot of money to spent, this is it! I definitely recommend it. If something happened to this one, I would buy it again!
