This is one of those items that's very simple but brilliant. Love my mountain bike (although never go off road of course) but for a 64 year old the leaning over was not doing my back any good. This little device allows me to raise the bars easily. It looks like original equipment and makes riding much more of a pleasure. Highly recommended.

Don’t normally write reviews but I thought as this item is so dangerous I need to bring this to potential buyers attention. (Also having looked for other alternatives on Amazon, they all seem to be the same - possibly manufactured by the same factories and sold under different brand names - thus I would advise not to buy any such equipment on the internet and go to a specialist bike shop - it’s too important) I Bought this to adjust the height and position of the handle bars on my Boardman road bike - installed as per the instructions and tightened as much as possible - in the knowledge of the stress the adjustable joint would be under. Riding uphill and leaning heavily on my handle bars the joint just gave in and the handlebars collapsed. If I had been going downhill I think I would be dead. Even more worrying the device appeared to be able to be reset to the right angle and be tightened up again. (I rode the bike gingerly back home). In my non-professional opinion I think the joint is satisfactory only withstanding the torque applicable by a lightweight user pressing down on it in a standing position (and I assume it has only been tested as such). The force multiplier effects of a heavier person leaning on it (depending on it) when actually riding the bike is outside the joint’s specification / tolerances and it simply collapses. The fact that the joint can be re-tightened indicates the joint itself isn’t destroyed / or the metal deformed it’s simply the design of the joint means it can’t handle the stress it can expect to be put under in real life use.

Die Verlängerung hält einwandfrei und hat meinem Fahrrad eine spürbare Verbesserung verliehen.Zusammenfassend kann ich sagen, dass der Fahrrad Vorbau eine ausgezeichnete Investition für jeden Fahrradliebhaber ist. acquistato per allungare la distanza del manubrio dal perno forcella,per mio figlio che crescendo trovava il manubrio troppo ravvicinato.montato si serra saldamente allo stelo e regolato al massimo dell'elevazione,ha consentito di guadagnare molti cm sia in altezza che profondità,non ha dondolii o altro, estremamente soddisfatto,mi ha consentito praticamente di evitare l'acquisto di una bicicletta.
