A weighted lap pad, lap blanket or lap belt can improve focus and concentration. Can be microwaved or refrigerated for added benefit. Care should be taken to insure the blanket is not too hot for use.

This is the perfect size and weight for my big 4 year old boy. He can carry it around or just sit with it on his lap. He needs that heaviness and cue to remind him to sit still. My son is very sensory and this is the perfect weight for him. He (my son) is about 40 lbs. The different textures on the lizard are also really great for him to feel.He did tear up the tongue pretty easily, so that is the only downfall that we've come across.

Gave to my grandson with sensory processing disorder. Still trying to get use to it being so heavy. He's not still for long, so nighttime is about the only time for holding it. Nice stuffed animal...good quality.

Great gift for a special needs child
The stitching is high quality, and this item is exactly as pictured. I love the fabrics. It's VERY soft on top. It says it's not appropriate for small children due to small parts (I assume because of the eyes), but I think it's great for all ages. We might actually order another one.

So disappointed with the quality of this item. I seen cheaper ones available when order this item for my autistic 5 year old; however, after reviewing the reviews we decided to purchase this one. We received it on March 19 and this morning we awoke to a trail of seeds around the house :(So disappointed. Light use, only for a month and a half and $50.00 later. Just thankful he Did Not put the beads in his mouth.
