An exceptional book, both in content and production.
This is an exceptional book, both in content and production. It deals with the 'soft skinned' trucks in British military service during the cold war years, a subject rarely covered in print, and is profusely illustrated throughout. Reproduction quality is excellent although some of the original images are of poor quality, their inclusion being justified on the grounds of rarity value. Author Les Freathy, who is well known in military modelling circles, provides an informative and entertaining narrative. This book carries no cover price; the publisher's website quotes 39 Euros but new copies can be found for as little as £15 at transport events, at which price it is outstanding value.
