The xbox already has a very good fan that extracts as much air as is possible. It is not advisable to obstruct it. My AVR only relies on passive cooling so this in the corner on top of the AVR does an excellent job. Without this the AVR can get almost twice the room temperature. With this it stays around room temperature. This is a tangible difference you won't get on your xbox because the xbox already has an extraction fan. Stacking a fan on a fan does nothing for the heat generating inside the xbox. Also the AVR can be much more expensive than the xbox and so keeping its temps down and thus potentially extend its longevity is money better spentYou want to cool an xbox or console? Use air conditioning in the room you are playing in and make sure the console is in a well ventilated area.

Install was easy, and in auto it keeps the console around 98°F in manual at high speed it's will keep in the mid 80s temp. Temp Varies by game.

Keeps my XBOX - S 1TB cool and I really like the automatic setting and to manually select the speed you want with the thermometer that is easy to see. I cannot hear it over my game play
