Have an 8 gallon nano saltwater tank that's in a tight position to get cleaning tools into plus the aquascape has lots of rock formations. I had been using a siphon vacuum but was a challenge with the size of the pick-up getting into tight spots.This little gadget is perfect for my set up! I don't think it would be good for larger tanks (25 gal +) as the suction tube and wand attachment being so small, it would probably take one a long time to clean anything larger. The motor was more than strong enough to pull green algae out of the sandbed, also pulled quite a bit of sand. The filter and length of tubing allowed me to clean and recirculate the water. Also, works great for small water changes (~1 gal).

I’ve had this for a year now and I love it. It works well for 3-10 gallon tanks although it is a little slow (if not it would be 5 stars!). If it gets clogged it’s easy to fix it. I find it easy to use and practical if you have various tanks and different sizes. I am sure it wont last forever but a year? I would say I already got its moneys worth! Still running too!

Worked perfectly for 3 months but today I vacuumed my 10 gallon and it worked fine then when I tried to use it 10 minutes later on my 20 gallon it was dead. I cleaned it thoroughly thinking it was clogged but it wasn’t that. It just…died. sigh.

This product was great for the two months it worked and then continuously got clogged until it was down to a trickle. It no longer works at all.

This is the perfect gravel cleaner I was looking for to reach with ease to my narrowly placed 6 and 8 gallon fish tanks.

While I love the concept, and have a lot of use cases for it, I end up spending an awful lot of time swearing and adjusting things every time I need to use it. Between the fact that the pump level and the aquarium level and the bucket level all have to be kind of perfect, the extra soft hose line is the biggest pain in the butt ever. I generally need a helper when using this - one person to keep the tubes from kinking and stopping the flow of water, and one person to siphon.It also clogs up a lot faster than I would have expected. It has really good section, and I love that I can use it attached to a USB battery (though it does need a newer battery that can support a larger drain. I tried it with an older battery and it just couldn't run the pump fast enough to be useful).Ultimately, unless your use case requires exactly zero movement and a straight up and down run (or side to side: no elevation changes with the product laying on the ground) or you're okay with swapping out the tubing for something a little stiffer, I might suggest giving this one a pass.
