Used this to boil eggs for deviled eggs. It certainly made the eggs easier to peel!

The plastic egg piercer nub broke off of my measuring cup. This one works great. I was hesitant at first since it poked a small hole. But, its doing what its advertised to do. I'm buying more as stocking stuffers for my family that eat eggs in ramen, salad and other dishes.

Great product

I can't believe I've finally found the secret to easy peel hard boiled eggs. This little gadget works great. Need to have a light touch with it to prevent cracking the shell. I cracked 2 shells out of 12, but now that I've learned the technique, it's perfect. Great item to have in the kitchen.

I have used the egg piercer a couple of times so far. The first time with 3 eggs, one broke the shell when piercing. The next time with 4 eggs, one broke completely and had to be stored for usage later. The other 3 cracked when boiling. I haven't decided if that dozen eggs all had thin, weak shells as they looked different, not broken, but with lines appearing like fractures, or if I had to push too hard to get the eggs pierced. It certainly was not a successful beginning. It is easy to use, but not good if it keeps causing shell breakage. Haven't given up yet. After more usage, we have found that 2/3 of the eggs we pierce crack and break. I am returning it. We have been extra careful, but they break just the same.

This egg piercer works well and is easier to use than the heavy duty sewing needle I was using. Press and pierce, its that simple. Be sure your egg is not cracked before you use this. If the egg is cracked it will just crush when you press on it. Fortunately, this does clean up easily.

I watched a product like this used on a YouTube video and I decided to try it. I used it to make a dozen hard boiled eggs. I've tried several things in the past with no real success. I would say that over all this worked well for me. Out of a dozen all but 2 peeled easily. I think the two that gave me a bit of trouble may have been because I didn't puncture it deep enough to get through the membrane? That's just a guess. Anyway I was able to make some nice looking deviled eggs. It works well and it seems well built. I plan on using it again when I make pickled red beet eggs.
