Worth buying a good brand
I ordered these as I needed to fit a tumble dryer vent through the wall at my daughter's house and the bits that came with my new Makita SDS drill were not long enough to go through a double skin cavity wall. So far I've only used two bits - 10x460mm and the cold chisel but they went through the wall like the proverbial hot knife through butter. Don't get me wrong a lot of that is down to the Makita Drill (HR2470WX/2) which delivers over twice the impact energy than my old Bosch hammer drill but all that energy needs to be delivered to the wall and that's where these bits come in. The bits all look to be well made and straight, they come in a nice carrying case so they don't get damaged in the bottom of your tool bag and there are a couple of sheets of oiled paper in the case to help protect the bits from rust. Make sure you clean off any brick/mortar/concrete dust as all of these tend to be alkaline and encourage corrosion. I could have bought some cheaper bits just for this one job but you get what you pay for and these should last for a very long time doing the DIY jobs that I have to do but I have no doubt they would not be out of place in a trade situation.
