Devolo Home Control Motion Sensor (Home Automation via iOS/Android App, Smart Home Device, Movement Detector, Infrared Sensor, PIR, Z Wave)

Having read some very extensive reviews of the devolo Home Control Starter Pack and other systems, I decided to go for this. I needed a system to replace my not very joined up automated heating, I had this registered through the web interface and the door contact and power switch included inside 11mins. I thought this is too easy, now from my previous system I had 4 Danfoss trv's, 1 Danfoss room thermostat and 2 TKB power sockets, I was confident these would all work and within 1 and a half hours they were all included and working. I have other z-wave units from various manufacturers all included but with varying results, to be fair I expected this.I must admit it was a big decision to spend this much but the convenience and ease simply pressing one button to control the lounge temperature and all the other things that can be done, and so easily, so far I have no regrets.I am sure this system can be developed more, would like to have boiler control included and maybe being able to refine the settings of some of the z-wave units would be good.So far I have no regrets with the devolo home control system.Update: Although still pleased with overall system, the wall switch 9505 battery lasted less than two months. After contacting devolo's UK support, they suggested the switch was faulty and should be exchanged, which Amazon did efficiently, however the replacement is indicating only 52% less than two days after reinstall with a new battery, again suggested by devolo support, because the original was dead inside two weeks. Either I've been unlucky or the wall switches have a software fault. Also the motion sensor I have has also become erratic. However I'm pleased that the heating control system I have setup is working with pre-winter tests, my main reason for the devolo home control.

Does not auto-poll. meaning changing the state of the device locally will not reflect the current state within vera. However, changing state from within vera works and indicates as expected. Its as if communication is only made with the unit when vera requests, not the device.works with old vera z-wave but controller says it cant configure the unit. unable to access the power-reading function of this device and have my doubts as to whether this device can actually do this.It looks the same as some identical but other-name branded units and they dont do power-reading, so figure this is a clone of those.If you want a controllable on/off socket and nothing else this should be fine.Check your controller is Z-wave and compatible!

Very disappointing product. Flimsy plastic although I could over look that if it worked ok. Buttons don't have a positive action and mine reported a flat battery after only a few daysm. Glad I only purchased one to try it out and so didn't loose much. Didn't bother to call support can't see them resolving the problems I have will it. Don't recommend.

Doesn't really work.I bought a home controller and thermostats and rad valves so I could control the temp of each room, but the rads just come on constantly - for example my room is now 25.9 degrees, it should be 20!The radiator vales keep going offline, even though they are only about 5 metres from the home controller, with no walls in between

Unless you know what your doing then stay clear. You'll get no response from Develo at all. Hence only 1 star.The plug is nothing special turns on/off with basic power monitoring. The config options are rather limited but what do you expect for the price. No hubitat/smartthings drivers but works on software using OZW (home assistant).

If you are looking for a simple way into Home Automation then this little box is worth looking at. Very simple to set up straight out of the box and a very easy to use interface via website or mobile app. Ideal way to control appliances, lights and monitor how much power you are using.

Develo plug, works great - using with openHAB on a raspberry Pi via an Aeotec Gen 5 stick. Paired easily and reports status accurately once associations set up properly, good range.

Five stars, did exactly as advertised. Currently have it setup in my Z-Wave network and it is managing temp in room perfectly and as a bonus reports back current temp to Z-wave app unlike some other LC-13 re-brands.
